There are no documented cheat codes or guaranteed exploits in the official Two Dots guides. The most useful fair-play shortcut is to look for a same-color square: it clears that color and can turn enclosed dots into Bombs. Then choose moves around the level’s objective, move limit, and special mechanics—not just the longest chain you can spot.
10 Two Dots tips to help you plan better moves
1. Look for a square before making a connection
Before clearing a line of matching dots, scan the board for a way to connect dots of the same color into a square. The game’s tutorial advice, as reported in a paper about Two Dots, is “When in doubt, make squares.” Treat that as a useful heuristic, not a rule that every square is always the best move.

2. Know what a square does
A square completely surrounds at least one dot of the same color. When the square clears, each enclosed dot turns into a Bomb, according to the Two Dots Help Center. Check the board to see what the resulting Bombs might help you reach; the number and usefulness depend on the dots enclosed and the level’s target.
3. Read the objective before choosing a color
Start with what the level asks you to do. A long connection may clear many dots but still be a poor move if it does not help the objective. Compare candidate moves by how directly they advance the target shown on your board.

4. Let the special mechanic shape your plan
Some levels introduce mechanics such as Water, Anchors, Ice, or Fire Dots. Learn what the mechanic in your current level does, then prioritize moves that interact with it. These elements are not present in every level, so do not assume a strategy from one board will work unchanged on another.
5. Spend moves on progress, not just clears
Look at the objective and the available board before making low-value clears. If a move does not advance the target, create a useful square, or set up a meaningful follow-up, consider whether another color or position would do more. The move limit and best sequence depend on the individual level.

6. Check what Bombs can contribute
Making a square can create Bombs from enclosed dots. Before committing, consider whether those Bombs could help with the level’s objective or the board’s special mechanics. That is a tactical opportunity, not a promise that every Bomb will solve a particular obstacle.
7. Use the official tutorial for unfamiliar mechanics
If a level introduces a rule you do not recognize, consult the matching in-game or official tutorial rather than guessing. The official Two Dots game page links tutorials for mechanics including Water, Anchors, Ice, and Fire Dots.

8. Treat lives as retries, not a reason to rush
The Help Center says players start with five lives and lose one when they fail a level. After a failed attempt, pause and adjust your plan instead of immediately repeating the same moves. Refill rules may change, so check the current game for the terms that apply to your account.
9. Boosters are optional; Gold can also be earned
Gold is premium currency that can be used for power-ups, extra moves, and lives, and the official materials say it can also be earned through gameplay. Purchases are optional. If you are considering spending, first decide whether a different move plan or another attempt could address the problem without using currency. The official store lists digital Gold and booster bundles; availability and pricing vary by region.

10. Follow the rules of the mode you are playing
Two Dots includes modes such as Scavenger Hunt, Arcade, Flip, and Treasure Hunt, as well as rotating events. Each may present a different objective or rules, so check what the current mode asks you to do before applying a standard-level strategy. Live availability and event details can change; the game interface is the best place to confirm what is active.
