A pawnshop offer for an Xbox 360 may be around $10–$30, according to GEM Pawnbrokers’ estimate. That is one operator’s guide—not a guaranteed payout or nationwide average. The shop may offer less, more, or decline the console, depending on whether it works, what accessories are included, and whether it can resell it.
What a pawnshop may offer for an Xbox 360
GEM Pawnbrokers lists an estimated $10–$30 pawn range for Xbox 360 systems. Its guide describes the figures as estimates, and says acceptance is limited and the console must be fully functional. There is no single Xbox 360 price that applies to every shop. This is an older system, and a shop’s existing inventory and local resale demand can affect whether it wants one. Its original retail price does not determine what a pawnshop will lend today.
What affects the offer
Revision, condition, and configuration
Tell the shop whether yours is an original Xbox 360, an S/Slim, or an E, and provide its storage configuration if you know it. Describe damage and known faults, including disc-reading or power problems. A unit that cannot be tested, or does not work, may receive a lower offer or be refused; GEM’s estimate is for a fully functional console.

Accessories and testability
Bring the console with its working controller and compatible power supply. Include relevant cables and any games you plan to pawn or sell with it. A complete, testable package is easier for a shop to assess and resell, but the available guides do not establish a fixed dollar bonus for any particular accessory or game. Do not spend money buying replacements just to try to raise the offer.
Pawn loan or outright sale?
A pawn loan uses your Xbox 360 as collateral: to get it back, you must meet the shop’s redemption terms. An outright sale transfers ownership, so there is no redemption payment or deadline. Ask for both options if the shop offers them, and compare the actual amounts rather than treating a loan offer as the console’s sale value.

Before accepting a loan, get the amount required to reclaim the console and the deadline in writing. Consider whether that total is worth paying to keep the system, and whether you can meet the deadline. Terms and requirements vary by shop; ask what identification or other paperwork it requires.
Compare the shop’s offer with selling locally
Look at prices for similar Xbox 360 packages in your area, matching the revision, condition, storage, and included accessories as closely as possible. A private sale may bring a different amount, but it also takes time and effort and does not guarantee a buyer. Prepare before you visit
- Check what you have: identify the revision and storage configuration if known, and list the controller, power supply, cables, and games you will bring.
- Test and disclose: power on the console and check the functions you can. Tell the shop about faults instead of presenting the unit as fully working if it is not.
- Protect your account: remove personal account information and factory-reset the console if appropriate before transferring it. This is prudent data handling, not a way to increase its value.
- Call nearby shops: ask whether each currently accepts Xbox 360s, whether it offers a loan, an outright purchase, or both, and what it requires you to bring.
- Compare written terms: weigh the loan amount and redemption terms against the sale offer and realistic local resale prices before handing over the console.
ConsolePawn describes a quote process that considers model, condition, accessories, and location, and says a shop’s inspection and policies determine the final offer.
