The Hidden Blade can then take down two enemies standing next to each other, from the ground or from the air.
What you need to unlock
- Character: Naoe.
- Weapon: The Tanto, equipped as one of Naoe’s two main weapons.
- Skill: The dedicated double-assassination passive in Naoe’s Assassin mastery tab.
Ubisoft’s stealth overview describes the Hidden Blade takedown as working on two enemies standing next to each other, whether Naoe attacks from the ground or the air. Ubisoft’s weapon guide on Xbox Wire confirms that the passive is in the Assassin mastery tab and that the Tanto must be one of her equipped weapons.

How to unlock the skill
- Earn Mastery Points. Ubisoft says these are awarded for gaining levels and defeating specific foes.
- Open Naoe’s Assassin mastery tab. Mastery Points can be spent in the mastery trees to unlock skills.
- Unlock the double-assassination passive. The available sources do not specify its point cost or prerequisite chain, so check the in-game tree for the requirements shown in your game.
- Equip the Tanto. Make sure it is one of Naoe’s two selected weapons before attempting the takedown.
For the progression overview, see Ubisoft’s combat gameplay overview. The precise mastery cost can’t be stated here because it is not provided in the cited descriptions.
How to perform a double assassination
As Naoe, approach two enemies who are standing next to each other, then attempt an assassination from the ground or from the air. When the passive is unlocked and the Tanto is equipped, the Hidden Blade can target both enemies in the same takedown. Ubisoft’s descriptions do not give a numeric distance between targets or a specific button sequence, so rely on the in-game prompt and positioning rather than a claimed exact range or input.

Why can’t I double assassinate?
- You are not controlling Naoe: This setup is described for her, not Yasuke.
- The Tanto is not equipped: It needs to be one of Naoe’s two weapon choices, not merely unlocked or in inventory.
- The passive is still locked: Check the Assassin mastery tab for the dedicated skill.
- The enemies are not close enough: Ubisoft describes the targets as standing next to each other; no exact distance is published.
- The target survives: A double assassination does not guarantee a one-hit kill against every enemy. In a PlayStation walkthrough, a high-health Samurai Daisho survived Naoe’s attempt (PlayStation.Blog, March 6, 2025).
These checks address the documented requirements. The sources do not identify a known bug, alternative input sequence, or additional distance threshold for this move.

Naoe’s Tanto and Hidden Blade setup enables double assassinations. Her Kusarigama has a separate ability called Rush Assassinate; it is a different move, not another weapon setup for the double assassination.
