Riot’s Champions 2025 Collection is a digital VALORANT cosmetic collection featuring a Vandal, Butterfly Knife, Flex, gun buddy, player card and spray. Riot announced it on August 30, 2025, and said it would launch globally in the in-game store on September 4 for a limited time leading into Champions. The announcement also pledged 50% of net proceeds to VCT teams.
What’s in the Champions 2025 Collection?
Riot’s reveal describes six items. Its listed effects and animations are Riot’s descriptions, not an independent review.
- Champions 2025 Vandal: A red “fire” outline appears when its wielder is top frag, and kills add a gold change. A Hot Streak temporarily turns the weapon fully gold. The custom finisher features the 2025 anthem and a round counter; Riot also describes a “Paint the World” finisher that lets equipped allies leave golden VCT marks where they shoot. Other details include a kill counter, a countdown to the Champions 2025 Grand Finals in the inspect animation, custom firing audio and visual effects, anthem music during inspection, and a custom kill banner.
- Champions 2025 Butterfly Knife: Its Champion’s Aura briefly changes to gold after a kill with any weapon or ability. It also has the Hot Streak gold form, a unique inspect animation, and custom visual and audio effects for other animations.
- Flex: Designed after the Champions trophy; inspecting it plays the 2025 anthem and shows the rounds needed to win.
- Gun buddy: A gold-and-black accessory inspired by the VCT.
- Player card: A card themed around Champions 2025.
- Spray: A celebratory gold spray.

When did it go on sale, and is it available now?
Valorant Esports Staff published Riot’s reveal on August 30, 2025. Riot announced a global in-game store launch for September 4, 2025, with the collection available for a limited time leading into Champions.

That announced sales window is historical. The reveal does not confirm whether Riot has since brought the cosmetics back or whether players can obtain them through another mechanism, so it cannot establish current availability. It also does not state the bundle price, individual item prices or regional price variations.
How did purchases support VCT teams?
Riot said 50% of net proceeds from the Champions 2025 Collection would be shared with VCT teams. This is the announced allocation, not a reported final payout: the reveal does not give a Champions 2025-specific proceeds total.

Separately, Riot reported that esports bundles raised more than $40 million for partnered teams in 2024. That figure concerns esports bundles across the ecosystem in that year; it is not the amount raised by the Champions 2025 Collection.
