Find Willem during Chapter 12, “To Founder on the Lethe.” After Safia gives you his location, follow the quest marker, inspect three clues in the search area, then continue through Wake the Dead Cafe and the factory. The factory route leads through a right-hand room, a red-lit area, and a left-hand door before the stairs to Willem.
Search the clue area first
After Safia tells you where Willem is, leave the cafe and follow the quest marker. In the clue room, inspect all three objects:
- The newspaper on the couch.
- The photo on top of the piano.
- The open book beneath the lamp.
Once you have examined the clues, the objective updates to Wake the Dead Cafe. A Fortitude Elixir is also noted in this area.

Continue with the Wake the Dead Cafe objective, then proceed into the factory. The walkthrough’s route is:

- Follow the path left after entering the factory.
- Turn into the room on the right and interact with the item on the table.
- Continue to the red-lit area and go through the door on the left.
- Head north and go upstairs.
- Keep following the stairs and path until you reach Willem.
The walkthrough also notes an elixir beneath a table in an upstairs room along the way. The precise route above is reported by Into Indie Games’ walkthrough.

Paradox’s Spring Update notes call out a lighting flicker in the passage in Willem’s warehouse during “To Founder on the Lethe.” The note identifies a visual issue; it does not say that the flicker blocks quest progress.
