You can match both women, so this is not an either-or choice.
Which outfits match?
| Cloud’s outfit | Tifa’s matching outfit | Aerith’s matching outfit | Style |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ocean Chocobo | Majestic Glamour | Floral Delight | Casual beachwear |
| Wild Surf | Shining Spirit | Pink Mermaid | Swimsuit-style |
These pairings are described by GamesRadar+, RPG Site, and GameSpot.
What does matching swimwear change?
In Chapter 6 at Costa del Sol, matching Cloud’s style with Tifa’s or Aerith’s signals shared taste and improves the corresponding relationship bond. You can match both characters to Cloud’s look. The guides describe a bond increase, not a guarantee of a later Gold Saucer date.
How do you unlock and equip the outfits?
During Chapter 6, take part in Costa del Sol resort activities to earn Companion Cards, then exchange those cards for outfits. Tifa and Aerith get their options through activities around the resort. Use the changing stations in Costa del Sol to equip the beachwear. GameSpot and RPG Site cover the unlock process.

- Immerse yourself in the city of Midgar like never before, with improved textures, lighting, and background environments
- Players can switch between two game modes: o "Graphics Mode" prioritises 4K high-resolution graphics o "Performance Mode" prioritises smooth action at 60 frames per second
- Capture and share your memorable moments from the game with a fully customisable “Photo Mode”
- Players can enjoy immersive battles by using the DualSense PlayStation 5 controller with its haptic feedback integration
On the initial story visit, these Costa del Sol outfits are specific to the resort; characters return to their default clothes when they leave. GameSpot notes this location restriction.
