To perform a combo in WWE 2K25, land a light attack, then press a light, heavy, or grapple attack button to continue the string. The buttons depend on your platform, and each Superstar has assigned combos you can check in the pause menu.
WWE 2K25 combo controls by platform
Use the matching button for the attack type you want. On PC, these are the keyboard inputs listed in the game’s manual; custom controls may differ.

The PlayStation and Xbox mappings are documented in the [WWE 2K25 controls guide] and official 2K manual excerpts. The PC manual lists J/K/L for combo continuation.
How to perform a combo
- Move within attack range and press the light attack button to start the combo.
- Press a light, heavy, or grapple attack button to continue the string. The combination of inputs determines the move sequence; a grapple can serve as the combo ender.
- Check the active Superstar’s combo list in the pause menu to see the available sequences.
There is no single sequence guaranteed to work for every wrestler. Combo assignments are Superstar-specific, and the controls guide says you can customize assignments in Create-A-Moveset.

How to break an opponent’s combo
While defending against a combo, press the button for the same attack type as the incoming move: light, heavy, or grapple. On PlayStation, those choices are Square, X, and Circle; on Xbox, they are X, A, and B. You have to predict the attack type. According to the controls guide, a wrong guess prevents further breaker attempts for the rest of that combo.
Where to learn the controls in game
From the main screen, open the Tutorial to practice common match functions, including basic attacks and combos. Use the pause-menu combo list to learn the sequences assigned to your current Superstar. The [WWE 2K25 Help Center] also directs new players to the main-menu Tutorial for learning attacks and combos.
