- Entitlement to the WrestleMania 42 Pack, planned to include the WrestleMania 42 Arena and three WrestleMania 42 Superstar Persona Cards

That is Nintendo’s platform-store description, not a guarantee that every platform presents the bundle in identical terms.

2K announced WWE 2K26 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. The Monday Night War Edition and other special editions launched March 6, 2026; the Standard Edition followed on March 13. Nintendo’s Switch 2 listing gives the same March 6 release date.

What did it cost, and can you upgrade?
2K announced a U.S. price of $149.99 for the Monday Night War Edition. That is the announced price, not a verified current retailer price; check the relevant platform store or retailer for present availability and pricing. 2K also described limited-time preorder offers, but those promotional periods have passed.
For Xbox, WWE 2K Support says owners of the Standard Edition can buy a one-time upgrade to the Monday Night War Edition. Owners of King of Kings or Attitude Era Edition should not assume the Standard Edition upgrade converts their copy to Monday Night War Edition. Support also notes that edition packs contain only some of the named edition’s content and do not include the base game, and that buying duplicate copies does not grant the same DLC and VC again to an account. Check the exact listing and edition before purchasing.

2K stated that physical preorder copies redeemed the Joe Hendry Pack with an in-box code. That confirms physical preorder copies were contemplated, but it does not confirm current stock at any particular retailer.
How does the cover fit the wider game?
Nintendo’s publisher-provided Switch 2 description advertises more than 400 Superstars. The Monday Night War Edition is specifically aimed at players interested in the WWE-versus-WCW era and its associated arenas, personas, and season content; the cover itself is a themed edition cover rather than the game’s Standard Edition artwork.
