The Rogue Trader Wiki walkthrough is an unofficial, community-maintained guide to Owlcat’s Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader. It organizes help by chapter and links that progression to broader references for quests, companions, mechanics, and endings. Use it as a fan reference—not an official Owlcat guide—and check the live pages for details that may have changed with updates.

What the Rogue Trader Wiki walkthrough covers

The wiki is structured to help players move through the campaign while also looking up related systems and subjects. Its homepage lists coverage for quests, companions, locations, mechanics, trading, endings, and space combat, alongside the chapter walkthroughs. The game is based on the tabletop Rogue Trader role-playing game, but this guide concerns Owlcat’s computer RPG.

That broad scope makes the wiki useful both for following the story and for looking up a particular companion or system. It does not establish that every quest, route, or possible outcome is covered comprehensively.

How the chapter guides are organized

Prologue: setting and introductory mechanics

The Prologue guide covers the opening section, introducing the game’s setting and mechanics. It is the natural starting point for a new playthrough or for checking the sequence of the opening chapter.

Warhammer 40000, Wrath & Glory Core Rulebook, Roleplaying Game, 2+ Players
  • The new Rulebook focuses on the Gilead System, allowing you to tell your own stories in a society beset by daemonic invasion and internal corruption
  • Character Creation has been streamlined, with a focus on Frameworks. With so many choices of who and what you can play, you’ll want to decide the focus of your game early
  • The Factions Chapter is a primer on life in the 41st Millennium, detailing each of the organisations vying for supremacy in the Warp-torn Gilead System
  • English Version | 2+ Players | Ages 14+ | 60 to 90 Minute Playing Time

Chapter 1: companions and early progression

The Chapter 1 guide includes companion recruitment details. If you are looking for where to find a recruitable character, use it alongside the wiki’s companion references rather than assuming the chapter walkthrough alone lists every relevant detail.

Chapter 2: Footfall and broader campaign systems

The Chapter 2 guide describes arrival at Footfall and covers galactic-map navigation and colony management. Its examples show how the walkthrough moves beyond individual story events into systems that shape the wider campaign.

Using the wiki without treating it as definitive

  • Start with the chapter page when you need help following the main progression.
  • Use the relevant reference section for a focused lookup, such as a companion, mechanic, or ending.
  • Check details against the live page when a choice, route, or patch-sensitive mechanic matters to your playthrough. The wiki is community maintained, and its guidance may change or lag behind game updates.

The wiki homepage reports version 1.6.0 as released on 11 June 2026 and version 1.6.1.514 as the latest update, released on 20 July 2026. These are the wiki’s stated version details, not a guarantee that every walkthrough page reflects those updates; verify the live page before relying on them as current.
