This guide explains how to follow Lies of P’s chapter-and-region walkthrough, avoid rushing past missable content, and start the Overture expansion. It is a progression guide rather than a complete item-by-item map: use dedicated region guides when you need exact collectible locations, quest steps, or boss tactics.
How to follow the Lies of P walkthrough
Lies of P is a single-player soulslike action RPG from NEOWIZ, set in the Belle Époque-inspired city of Krat and reimagining the story of Pinocchio. Exploration and combat are shaped by choices to lie or tell the truth. The walkthrough is organized by chapter and region, so use the current region as your starting point and advance through the main route in order.

- Check your current chapter and region. Open the walkthrough section for the place you are exploring rather than jumping ahead to later story material.
- Separate the required route from optional content. Progression guidance helps you move forward; optional pickups, NPC actions, and completion checklists are the parts to review before leaving an area.
- Pause at region transitions. Before advancing the story, check for a next objective, nearby Stargazer, main threat or boss, and any missable item or NPC interaction noted for that region.
- Use focused guides for exact answers. A chapter-and-region hub can point you toward completion coverage, but it is not necessarily a complete route through every item or side task.
Missable collectibles and optional content
Some collectibles are missable. If you are playing for completion, consult the region-level guidance before progressing past a major story point; waiting until after an area transition may mean an earlier opportunity is gone. Keep optional NPC actions and collectible checks distinct from the required route so you can decide whether to pursue them without losing track of the main objective.
- For a spoiler-light run: follow the chapter route and check only the missable warnings for your current region.
- For completion: use the dedicated collectible and quest coverage alongside the route, and verify each region before moving on.
Combat and character progression
Combat progression is about adapting your equipment and abilities to the fighting style you want. The game supports weapon combinations, Legion Arms, and abilities, so a walkthrough route is not a substitute for adjusting your build to suit the encounters you find difficult. This guide does not prescribe a single best weapon setup or claim a tested strategy for individual bosses.

How to start Lies of P: Overture
Overture is a prequel expansion. NEOWIZ’s June 6, 2025 launch notes say that you must reach Chapter 9 and repair the Hotel Stargazer before entering it. The notes describe the expansion entry as “the Forgotten Time.” Because this is version-sensitive guidance published with the expansion’s launch, check later official update notes if your game’s current build behaves differently.
What changed in the June 6, 2025 update
NEOWIZ’s launch update documented several additions and changes that can affect how you use a walkthrough. These are statements from that dated update, not a guarantee that every detail remains unchanged in every later build.

- Quest tracking: quest-progress markers were added to the Stargazer travel menu and Moonphase Pocket Watch.
- Records: records that had been mutually exclusive could be acquired in one playthrough, according to the update.
Edition note: Switch 2 Complete Edition
Nintendo UK lists a Lies of P Complete Edition for Nintendo Switch 2 that includes both the base game and Overture, with a listed release date of August 5, 2026. That is a UK storefront and platform-specific listing; it does not establish availability, stock, or edition contents in other regions or on other platforms.

Players often look for help with Pulse Cells, respec, phone riddle answers, New Game Plus, NPC summons, classes, Wishstones, and P-Organ abilities. Those topics need their own mechanic-specific instructions; a chapter-and-region route alone does not establish their exact steps or current behavior. Use a dedicated guide for the specific question rather than treating a general walkthrough as a verified answer to each one.
