1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsWaylaid Supplies crates ask for specific gathering materials or crafted goods. Add the requested items to a crate to turn it into a Supply Shipment, then deliver it to your faction’s representative for silver, experience, and reputation. The exact order depends on the crate: inspect it in-game and use the matching faction guide for current requirements. You can gather, craft, or buy the missing goods, but buying them may cost more than the shipment pays back.
Where do Waylaid Supplies drop?
Waylaid Supplies are uncommon quest items that can drop from enemies level 6 and above throughout Azeroth, and can also appear in chests. The Azeroth Commerce Authority guide and Durotar Supply and Logistics guide say chests have a higher drop rate, but neither publishes an exact probability. Loot chests as you farm if convenient; there is no established drop percentage or average time to find a crate.

What do you need to fill a crate?
Open the crate and read its order to see the requested goods and quantities. Add the missing items from your bags to convert it into a Supply Shipment. Orders can request gathered materials or crafted products from different professions. Lower-tier examples include Copper Bars, Light Leather, Peacebloom, Brown Linen Robes, Copper Shortswords, and Healing Potions; higher tiers include more advanced materials and crafted items. These are examples, not a complete or universal order list. Use the crate’s own requirements rather than assuming every character receives the same order.
For faction-specific order and reputation details, consult the Alliance guide or the Horde guide. The guides list fixed in-game reputation awards for shipment types; those values are game rewards, not estimates of gold value or completion time.

Should you gather, craft, or buy the requested goods?
| Route | Best when | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Gather or farm | You can obtain the material while questing or farming nearby. | Costs time and requires access to the relevant area or gathering skill. Chest looting may also give you a chance at another crate, though the size of that advantage is not quantified. |
| Craft | You already have the profession, recipe, and materials, or can ask a guildmate to help. | Some orders require a profession or recipe you may not have; acquiring the inputs can take as much effort as gathering the finished goods. |
| Buy from the Auction House | You value the time saved and the listed price is acceptable for the reputation you want. | Prices vary by realm and date. The shipment’s level-scaled silver reward may not cover what you spend on materials. |
Before buying, compare the current Auction House asking price for every required item with the value you personally place on the reputation and other rewards. There is no universal profitable route: inventory, profession access, realm prices, and time available all change the calculation. The guides do not establish current market prices or shipment profitability.
Which shipment tier should you use for each reputation?
Choose shipments suited to your current standing rather than repeatedly farming a low-level order. Level 10 supplies stop granting reputation once you reach Friendly. The Horde guide presents an illustrative progression of level 10 orders for Friendly, level 25 for Honored, level 30–40 for Revered, and level 40–50 for Exalted. Treat those bands and their item lists as guide data, not as an official Blizzard order table or a guarantee that every character will see every order.
Blizzard’s Phase 4 announcement confirms the level cap increased from 50 to 60 and mentions profession and reputation updates. It does not document Waylaid Supplies mechanics or provide the detailed shipment tables, so use the faction guides and the order shown on your crate for those specifics.
Where do you turn in a Supply Shipment?
Turn in a completed shipment to the representative for your faction. Alliance characters earn reputation with the Azeroth Commerce Authority; Horde characters earn it with Durotar Supply and Logistics. The faction guides list representatives in major faction cities, including Orgrimmar, Thunder Bluff, and Undercity for the Horde. Check the relevant faction guide for the representative locations available to your character.

What rewards are available?
Shipments provide reputation, silver, and experience. Reputation tiers also unlock faction-specific reward lists that can include bags, recipes, class runes, account-bound gear, vanity items, and rewards at Exalted. The Horde guide lists the 18-slot Handy Courier Haversack and Supply Expediter at Exalted, alongside other equipment and trinkets. Warcraft Tavern’s guide also describes later reward additions such as an 18-slot bag, Bind-on-Account helmets at Exalted, and vanity trinkets at earlier standings. Reward availability is faction-specific; check your faction’s table before assuming an item is offered by both vendors. For Alliance rewards, use the Azeroth Commerce Authority table; for Horde rewards, use the Durotar Supply and Logistics table.
