We. The Revolution is worth playing if you want a story-driven game about judging people under political pressure, where a verdict can cost you personally. It is a weaker choice if your priority is polished minigames or open-ended decisions, because those are the points where player criticism concentrates. Offline play
For the GOG version, yes: GOG’s listing says a fully offline installer is available and that GOG Galaxy is not required. Galaxy is optional and only adds synchronization features such as achievements and cloud saves. If you want to play without a launcher, buy from GOG and use the offline installer. Offline behavior for the Steam version is not stated in the materials I checked, so confirm it on Steam before assuming it.

Updates and current status
Steam’s official news records post-launch patches. An April 2, 2019 update improved dice randomization and fixed issues with tutorials, audio, characters, and other elements. That confirms the game received support after release, but it does not establish the status of every issue on every platform today.
