No current official comparison confirms which Rainbow Six Siege mode gives the most Renown. Ubisoft says playlist earnings were adjusted to be more equal, but it does not publish a current mode-by-mode payout table in the sources reviewed. To find what works best for you, compare Renown earned with the time spent across several complete matches.
Why there is no confirmed top mode
Ubisoft’s Operation Daybreak update said resource distribution was modified so playlists would be more equal in earnings. It also said end-of-match Renown was reduced after Ubisoft added a Daily Renown challenge and a Renown reward for Clearance Level-ups. The update does not list current Renown payouts by mode, so it cannot establish a winner. Ubisoft’s Operation Daybreak update was published June 10, 2025; later tuning may have changed the economy.

Renown is earned by playing modes and matches, and Ubisoft says it can be spent in the in-game Shop on Operators, gear, weapons, and customizations. A balance update can take up to 15 minutes to appear. Ubisoft’s Renown guide covers those basics.
Ranked’s Alpha Pack advantage is not a Renown advantage
Ubisoft’s Daybreak update says Alpha Pack progression was adjusted to balance progress per match-hour and that longer modes such as Ranked would mainly benefit. That statement is about Alpha Packs, not Renown. It is not evidence that Ranked awards the most Renown.

How to compare Renown farming for yourself
Because match duration and outcomes can vary, compare both Renown per match and Renown per unit of time. This is a personal measurement method, not a Ubisoft-published formula.
- Choose playlists you can currently access and play several complete matches in each.
- Record your Renown balance before and after each match, along with elapsed time from match start to finish.
- Compare the average Renown earned per match and the average Renown earned per minute or hour separately. Do not treat one short or unusually rewarding match as a reliable rate.
- Keep your comparisons fair: note wins or losses, player performance, active boosters or challenges, and any differences that could affect your results. The reviewed official sources do not establish the current numerical effect of each factor.
Playlist access and availability can change
Mode eligibility depends on the current season and account access. In its June 10, 2025 Siege X announcement, Ubisoft said Free Access included Quick Match, Unranked, and Dual Front, while Ranked and Siege Cup required a paid version. Ubisoft has described Dual Front as a permanent 6v6 mode. Its July 16, 2026 mid-season update described a returning 1v1 Arcade event with short, high-intensity matches running for two weeks. Those descriptions concern mode format and availability, not Renown rates. Ubisoft’s Siege news and updates provide the relevant mode announcements.
