How Zote dies in Greenpath
Zote is held by the Vengefly King in Greenpath. According to the game reference’s listed triggers, he dies if you leave him there until you acquire the Mantis Claw, enter either of two rooms between Relic Seeker Lemm and Cornifer in the City of Tears, or enter the Deepnest Hot Spring room. What you lose if you leave him
Letting Zote die ends his later optional character sequence in that save, including the Grey Prince Zote encounter. If you want to see that content, rescue him in Greenpath before reaching one of the listed triggers. What happens to the Vengefly King and your Journal?
