The main troubleshooting reference covers HDMI code V60, internet-connectivity code V95, connection-loss codes C601 and C603, router/DHCP code C210, DVR OnePass code V410, and a Fire Stick sign-in code, C638. A separate TDS TV+ performance page covers V60, V95, V410, V549, C210, C601/C603, and the Fire Stick sign-in code. Neither page lists 3169.

- Check TDS outage information. Look for a reported outage in your area through TDS’s support hub before restarting equipment.
- Apply the general fix that matches the result. If the internet works on other devices, TDS’s app guidance suggests restarting the streaming device. If other devices also cannot connect, restart the router. Use the steps for your specific device from TDS’s official troubleshooting pages.
- Contact TDS support. Give the exact code, the device or service involved, and the steps you have already tried. TDS’s error-code page directs customers to technical support when documented steps do not resolve a problem.
What not to replace yet
Do not buy a new TV receiver, router, HDMI cable, or Ethernet cable on the strength of code 3169 alone. TDS’s performance page suggests a wired network cable as a general bandwidth improvement for a buffering symbol, but it does not connect that advice to code 3169. Hardware should be replaced only if TDS support confirms a hardware or connection fault.
