PlayStation describes PS4 error CE-30012-6 as “An internal error has occurred.” Sony’s recommended troubleshooting is to update the system software, then—if the error continues—back up saved data, delete the affected application, and reinstall it.
What CE-30012-6 means
Sony labels CE-30012-6 an internal error. Its support pages do not identify a specific hardware component as the cause, so the code alone does not establish that the hard drive, disc reader, or another part has failed.
Sony’s instructions are on its PS4 CE-30012-6 support page; the PS4 error-code index lists the same description.
How to troubleshoot CE-30012-6
Follow Sony’s steps in order. Back up saved data before deleting the affected application if updating does not resolve the error.
