There is no single best bow in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla that holds across every class and playstyle. The strongest pick the available guides support is Petra’s Arc, a Predator Bow that suits players who want its critical-damage perk and can keep Eivor near full health. Treat it as a conditional recommendation for that use case, not as a verified top-tier weapon for everyone.
Why there is no universal winner
Bows in Valhalla fall into classes. The sources distinguish Light Bows and Predator Bows, and the third class players ask about, Hunter, is named in the comparison framework but not ranked against the others. Each class is built around a different kind of fight, so a base attack figure on a Light Bow cannot be read against a Predator Bow’s figure as a measure of which one is better for you.
The guides available for this question also do not supply a complete, current comparison of every base-game and expansion bow, matched by upgrade level. Nodens’ Arc is named among the bows in an overview, but no comparable values for it are established in the same sources. Any ranking that covers the full bow list would therefore go beyond the evidence.
Petra’s Arc: the conditional pick
Game8’s weapon guide, last updated June 2, 2021, classifies Petra’s Arc as a Predator Bow and lists these values at base level, for Power 1 Eivor:

These are the starting figures, not the maximum-upgrade values, and they come from a community guide rather than an official Ubisoft statistic. Patches made after mid-2021 could change them, so check the in-game stats screen before committing resources to an upgrade.
Its perk depends on Eivor’s health
Game8 describes Petra’s Arc as increasing critical damage when Eivor is close to full health. The perk is therefore strongest in fights where you can avoid heavy damage and keep your health high. If you regularly fight at low health, expect the bonus to apply far less often than the base critical value suggests.

How to obtain it
- Hunt a fourth Legendary Animal.
- Return to Wallace at the Hunter’s Hut in Ravensthorpe to receive the bow as the reward.

Comparing options by class and intended use

Because the stat sets differ by class, compare bows within the same class first, and then weigh your own preferences. Ranking a Light Bow against Petra’s Arc on attack alone would mix unlike weapons.
Matching a bow to your skills
Ubisoft’s skill-tree article, dated November 9, 2020, links several ranged abilities, including Arrow Reinforcement and Charged Shot, to the Wolf path. A bow choice works better alongside those skills than in isolation. Before you pick a bow, decide how you plan to spend your skill points:

- If you intend to invest in Wolf-path ranged skills, plan your bow around them rather than around base stats alone.
- If you want Petra’s Arc’s critical perk, plan to keep Eivor’s health high, which means choosing defensive play and healing when needed.
- If you prefer a different combat style, the Predator comparison above matters less than which class fits that style, and the sources do not rank classes for every player.
What is and is not established
The evidence supports a conditional answer. It does not establish which bow is strongest once upgraded, how each bow behaves across the expansions, or whether any bow’s stats have changed since the guides were written. No independent gameplay testing of these figures is cited, and no official Ubisoft ranking of bows is available. Treat Petra’s Arc as a sound choice for a Predator-focused, health-conscious player, and verify current values in your own game before you decide.
