In Minecraft Bedrock Edition, run /gamerule domobspawning false to disable natural mob spawning. The exact rule name is Bedrock syntax; the title does not specify an edition, so this command should not be treated as universal across editions.
How to stop natural mob spawning
- Open chat or the command input in your Bedrock world.
- Enter
/gamerule domobspawning falseand submit it. Microsoft’s Bedrock gamerule reference identifiesdomobspawningas the Boolean rule for whether mobs spawn into the game, and its gamerule guide usesfalseto turn mob spawning off.
What the setting affects
This gamerule controls whether mobs spawn naturally in the world, as described in Microsoft’s world-settings reference. The cited documentation does not say that changing the rule removes mobs already present, so use it to stop natural spawning rather than to clear existing mobs.
Check or turn spawning back on
Enter /gamerule without a rule name to check the current gamerule settings, as specified in Microsoft’s command reference. To restore natural mob spawning, set the Boolean rule to true:
