The name does not mean it includes Season Two. It is broader than the Season Pass, which covers Episodes 2–5, and the Adventure Pass, which adds Episodes 6–8.
What does The Complete Adventure include?
Xbox’s 2016 product announcement identifies Minecraft: Story Mode – The Complete Adventure as Episodes 1–8. That is the full episode run of Season One, not both seasons. The Xbox announcement specifies that episode range; the Minecraft Wiki also describes the physical Complete Adventure edition as covering Episodes 1–8.
So, when a listing or disc specifically says “The Complete Adventure,” it refers to the first-season package. Check the exact product name and platform rather than assuming that every copy of Minecraft: Story Mode contains all eight episodes.
How do the Season Pass and Adventure Pass differ?
| Edition or bundle | Episode coverage | What that means |
|---|---|---|
| The Complete Adventure | Episodes 1–8, according to Xbox’s product announcement | The cited Xbox edition covers all of Season One. |
| Season Pass | Episodes 2–5; Episode 1 is required but not included, according to Xbox | Not the complete first season by itself. |
| Adventure Pass | Additional Episodes 6–8; Episode 1 is required but not included, according to Xbox | An add-on bundle for later Season One episodes, not a standalone complete season. |
| Season Pass Deluxe | Episodes 2–8; described by the Minecraft Wiki as a downloadable bundle | A digital bundle name, distinct from the physical Complete Adventure edition. This detail comes from a secondary reference. |
The Xbox listings describe the Season Pass and the Adventure Pass as separate episode bundles. The key distinction is their coverage: neither bundle alone is the same as The Complete Adventure.

- You will drive the story through the decisions you make: what you say to people (and how you say it), and what you choose to do in moments of thrilling action will make this YOUR story
- All eight episodes in the series on one disc for the first time, all five episodes of Season One and all three episodes of the Adventure Pass.
Does The Complete Adventure include Season Two?
No. The documented Episodes 1–8 are Season One. The cited Xbox product description identifies The Complete Adventure by that eight-episode range; it does not say that Season Two is included. Treat Season Two as a separate product unless a specific listing explicitly states otherwise.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Can you still install or download the episodes?
Current access can depend on the copy and platform, and the available official statements do not confirm installation outcomes for each console or disc. Minecraft’s notice, published May 31, 2019, said the publisher would stop supporting both seasons on June 25, 2019. It listed Windows, macOS, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Wii U, Nintendo Switch, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Android, and iOS, and advised owners to download remaining episodes before support ended. See Minecraft’s discontinuation notice.
Telltale’s current Minecraft: Story Mode page says that Season One and Season Two are not currently supported because it does not possess the license to sell, distribute, or support them. These statements establish discontinued official support and sales or distribution; they do not establish whether a particular used disc can download episodes today, whether it contains all episode data, or what copies are currently available.
