Why Kamek’s Tantalizing Tower is the answer
Super Mario Wiki’s board entry lists 29 total spaces for Kamek’s Tantalizing Tower and identifies Super Mario Party as its game. A community comparison also names it the smallest in its stated set and specifies that its count includes the starting space.
Super Mario Party was released for Nintendo Switch on October 5, 2018, according to GameFAQs’ game listing. The 29-space figure is the board’s documented total; some individual space categories can vary with board state, so the listed total is the appropriate figure to use.
What the “smallest” ranking covers
The comparison’s stated scope is Mario Party 1–8, Mario Party DS, Super Mario Party, and Mario Party Superstars. Within that classic board-game set, Kamek’s Tantalizing Tower is identified as the smallest. The comparison is community-made, rather than an official Nintendo franchise-wide inventory.

It should not be read as a definitive ranking of every game and mode. The comparison discussion raises questions about the different board formats in Mario Party 9 and Mario Party 10, as well as whether alternative experiences count as boards. Those distinctions make an all-series claim broader than the available comparison supports.

Nintendo’s official Super Mario Party Jamboree board overview describes five new boards and two returning favorites, with players moving around boards in Mario Party mode. It does not publish comparable space totals, so it cannot establish a franchise-wide smallest-board ranking.
