Completing the Divine Heir Gauntlet in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice awards the Sakura Dance Combat Art and the Memory: Inner Genichiro. The path ends with a fight against Inner Genichiro, so defeating him is what unlocks both rewards.
The two rewards
- Sakura Dance, a Combat Art.
- Memory: Inner Genichiro.
Both are granted on completion of the Gauntlet. The reward pair comes from fan-maintained Sekiro reference pages; Activision’s official Gauntlet support page explains the general rules for these challenges but does not list this specific reward, so treat the pair as community-documented rather than officially confirmed.

The final opponent
The Divine Heir challenge culminates in a battle with Inner Genichiro. Winning that fight completes the Gauntlet. Because the reward sits at the end of the path, you need to clear every earlier encounter in the Gauntlet before the reward is available.
What you need before you start
- Access: Gauntlets of Strength are entered through a Sculptor’s Idol.
- Story progress: Activision says Gauntlet availability depends on finishing the game and defeating the bosses on the relevant path in story mode. Its example, the Shura path, adds further ending and boss requirements, so check the requirements for the specific path you intend to run.
- One life per attempt: Gauntlets are described as paths that must be completed in one life. If you die, you are sent back to restart the path from the beginning.
What is not established
Sources available for this guide confirm the Combat Art and the Memory, but they do not establish a trophy or achievement tied to completing the Divine Heir Gauntlet. Do not assume one exists based on the Gauntlet’s difficulty.
