If you can’t enter the Temple of Time, complete the rip_indra and Sealed King progression step first. Once inside, use the second Mysterious Force and choose “Use it” to return outside.
Where to find the Mysterious Force
Community walkthroughs place the Mysterious Force at the top of the Great Tree in the Third Sea. It is described as an invisible or bodiless NPC, so there may be no character model to see when you reach the interaction point. The Mysterious Force guide and the Temple of Time guide describe the interaction as the way into the Temple of Time.
How to use it to enter the Temple of Time
- Check your progression. Community guides place this interaction after the Sealed King step, associated with defeating rip_indra and speaking to the quest character. Sources use both “King Red Head” and “Sealed King” for the character, so follow the progression step in your game rather than relying on one name.
- Climb to the Great Tree summit. The tree is in the Third Sea. A community location guide notes that the leafy canopy can make the camera awkward with some movement abilities; first-person view, flight, or air jumps may help. The Great Tree guide describes these as player tips, not required steps.
- Interact at the indicated spot. The NPC may be invisible. When access is available, interacting there opens the route to the Temple of Time.
How to leave the Temple of Time
Inside the Temple of Time, find and interact with the second Mysterious Force. Choose “Use it” to teleport back outside. This is the return interaction; it is separate from the later Race Awakening puzzle.
What to do if the interaction does not work
“There’s something there, but you can’t quite place it.”
Unofficial guides associate this response with missing the rip_indra and Sealed King progression chain. Defeat rip_indra, speak with the relevant quest character, then return to the Great Tree and try again. The wording is reported by community guides and may not match every live-client version exactly. The Sealed King walkthrough uses the “Sealed King” name.

“A strong force prevents you from entering. Come back later.”
A community guide says this can occur while another group is occupying the trials. Wait until that activity has ended, then retry the interaction. The Temple of Time guide lists this response.
You cannot see an NPC
The Mysterious Force is described as having no visible character model. Try interacting at the correct location at the summit even if the area looks empty.

Do not confuse Temple access with the Race Awakening puzzle
Getting into the Temple of Time is only the access step. The later Race Awakening sequence involves additional objectives, including Mirage Island, Mirror Fractal, Blue Gear, and the Temple lever. Those come after the initial teleport, so acquiring Blue Gear or starting trials is not what the first Mysterious Force interaction does.
Likewise, full-moon references concern later trial conditions in some walkthroughs, not a universal cost or requirement for using the teleport. A separate NPC guide says the full-moon constraint on activating Race abilities was removed in Update 19; the stage you are attempting matters. The Race Awakening guide covers the later puzzle steps, while the Ancient One guide discusses Race abilities.
