REANIMAL reviews began appearing on February 11, 2026, two days before the game launched on February 13. That is the supported review-publication date; the sources available do not confirm an official embargo-lift hour. The countdown is therefore historical, not upcoming.

When did REANIMAL reviews appear?

PC Gamer’s review is dated February 11, 2026, and GamesRadar’s review coverage is dated the same day. Those publication dates establish that reviews were appearing by February 11, but neither date alone verifies the precise time a review embargo lifted.

THQ Nordic announced on November 20, 2025 that REANIMAL would launch worldwide on Friday, February 13, 2026. Its February 13, 2026 announcement confirmed that the game was out on Nintendo Switch 2, PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The distinction is simple: February 11 was the review-publication date; February 13 was the launch date.

What is not known about the embargo time?

The consulted publisher announcements and review pages do not provide an official embargo-lift announcement or exact hour. February 11 is the date supported by the review pages, not a verified timestamp for when all outlets were permitted to publish. Do not treat the timestamp on an individual review page as proof of an independently confirmed embargo time.

What did the reviews cover?

REANIMAL is a horror adventure about a brother and sister trying to rescue missing friends and escape their island. Steam lists single-player, online co-op, and shared/split-screen co-op features. PC Gamer and GamesRadar both discuss the game as a horror adventure; GamesRadar highlights stealth, exploration, and puzzles, while its criticism of the game’s cohesion and ending reflects that outlet’s reviewer assessment, not a universal consensus.

Review context varies by outlet. PC Gamer says its reviewer spent eight hours with the game and identifies a laptop with an RTX 3060, Ryzen 5 5600H, and 16 GB RAM as the review setup. Those are details of that review, not a general completion-time or performance claim. GamesRadar says its review was conducted on PC using code provided by the publisher.
