Which platforms the original preload covered
The launch notice, published January 20, 2026, listed five platforms: PlayStation 5, PC, Android, iOS, and Epic Games Store. The route for each one was different, so check the platform you actually play on before following any steps.
PC: GRYPHLINK
PC players downloaded the game through GRYPHLINK, the Gryphline launcher. The steps depended on whether you were new to the launcher or already had an account in it.

New users
- Download and install the GRYPHLINK launcher.
- Open the launcher and download the Arknights: Endfield client.
Existing users
- Open GRYPHLINK.
- Choose All Games.
- Select Arknights: Endfield and download it.
The notice warned that older GRYPHLINK versions from previous tests could not download the official release client. Its recommendation was to uninstall the old launcher first. If you had installed an earlier Endfield test client, it also recommended removing that client before getting the release version.
PlayStation 5
Players who pre-ordered through the PlayStation Store were told to search for Arknights: Endfield on the PS5 and pre-download it from there. The notice did not give a separate menu path for PS5 at launch.
Android and iOS
The notice listed Android and iOS as launch platforms but did not publish a separate pre-download procedure for mobile in the launch announcement. Mobile players should use the store listing for their device and confirm the storage and OS requirements below.
Epic Games Store
Epic Games Store appeared in the list of launch platforms. The launch notice did not describe a preload procedure for that storefront, so this article does not give one.

Storage and hardware requirements at launch
These figures come from Gryphline’s January 2026 launch notice. They describe the release build as announced. Later client versions may have changed them, so check the official notice or the store page before setting up a new machine.

The notice’s own wording on storage was: “Install on an SSD for better gaming experiences.”
Saves across platforms
The launch notice said that save data under the same account syncs across platforms. That is the only save-continuity statement in the launch announcement, so it covers the account, not the individual platform client.

Pre-downloads for the September 2026 “Dreamscape of Wind and Snow” update are separate from the January launch preload. Gryphline’s August 31, 2026 notice described them. The update was mandatory, login was unavailable during maintenance, and players could keep playing while the pre-download ran. Mobile pre-download was still in development when the notice was published.

The announced maintenance windows were September 2, 2026, 06:00–12:00 UTC+8 for Asia, and September 1, 2026, 17:00–23:00 UTC-5 for the Americas and Europe. Those windows are historical. Do not reuse them as a current schedule.
Steam
A September 2026 official notice announced a limited-access Steam Pioneer Test beginning September 15, by server time. It was not a public Steam release. Eligible testers received a Steam product code by email, activated it in Steam, and downloaded the game from their Steam Library.
- Steam downloads and updates are handled by the Steam client. They cannot be managed through GRYPHLINK.
- Steam testers who linked an existing Gryphline account could carry over progress on the matching server.
- Asia and Americas/Europe server data are not shared.
The announced cloud game service
An official announcement dated October 7, 2026 said the next version and an official cloud game service are scheduled for October 15, 2026. The announced service includes a web version and access on iOS, Android, Windows, and macOS, and does not require downloading a game client. As of this article’s date, October 15 is still ahead, so the service is a plan, not something players can already use.
This cloud service is separate from the launch preload. It is relevant mainly if you want to avoid local storage requirements.

Quick checklist for current players
- Confirm your platform and whether you are on the release build or an older test client.
- For PC, check GRYPHLINK for the current client and remove old test builds before reinstalling.
- Check free storage against the platform figures, and leave room for PC extraction.
- For version updates, follow the procedure for your platform rather than the January steps.
The release date, time, and launch-period preload steps are settled. What changes over time is the client version, the update schedule, and the storage figures, so the official notice that is current for your platform is the source to follow for those.
