Figmental Weapon Coffers come from two treasure duties: Cenote Ja Ja Gural and Vault Oneiron. Each duty has its own entry requirement. Cenote Ja Ja Gural is entered with a coffer from a Br’aaxskin Treasure Map, and Vault Oneiron is entered only with a coffer from a Gargantuaskin Treasure Map. Opening the coffer creates a weapon matching whichever job or class you have active at that moment, so switch jobs before you open it.
Where the coffer comes from
The item listing for the Figmental Weapon Coffer names both duties as sources. Neither is a standard dungeon you can queue for directly. Each one is unlocked by completing a treasure hunt and opening the coffer it produces. That means the route to the coffer runs through the treasure map system, not through the duty finder.
Getting into Cenote Ja Ja Gural
Cenote Ja Ja Gural is opened by Br’aaxskin Treasure Maps. Per Square Enix’s official patch notes, Patch 7.05 established this access route.
Entry steps
- Obtain a Br’aaxskin Treasure Map and complete the treasure hunt it leads to.
- Open the treasure coffer the hunt produces. If it is a Br’aaxskin coffer that grants entry, the duty becomes available to you.
- Enter Cenote Ja Ja Gural and clear the first chamber.
How the chambers work
The duty is a sequence of chambers separated by stone doors. After you clear a chamber, you choose one door to continue. Choosing the wrong door triggers a trap that sends your party back to the surface, so the duty is not a straight run. Treat each door choice as a decision that can cost you the attempt. Square Enix describes the structure this way in its official notes.

Getting into Vault Oneiron
Vault Oneiron requires a different map. Square Enix’s patch notes state that Gargantuaskin Treasure Maps are exclusive to Living Memory, and that only Gargantuaskin maps grant entry to the vault. Patch 7.3 established this access. A Br’aaxskin map will not open Vault Oneiron, and a Gargantuaskin map is not a substitute for the Cenote Ja Ja Gural route.
Entry steps
- Obtain a Gargantuaskin Treasure Map, which is only available through Living Memory.
- Complete the treasure hunt the map leads to.
- Open the resulting treasure coffer to unlock access to Vault Oneiron.
Opening the coffer and choosing your weapon
The coffer’s in-game description reads: “Weapon type determined by current job or class at time of opening.” The weapon you receive depends on the job or class active when you open it, not when you obtained the coffer. You cannot pick a weapon from a list, so the only way to control the result is to change jobs first.

The same description also says the coffer cannot be opened in instanced areas such as dungeons, PvP areas, or raids. Plan accordingly:
- Change to the job or class whose weapon you want.
- Leave any duty, instance, or raid you are in and return to a non-instanced area.
- Open the Figmental Weapon Coffer from your inventory.
Opening it in an instance is not a safe fallback: the game will not open the coffer there, so you need to exit first.

What the weapon is worth in practice
The official Patch 7.1 item list describes the coffer as “A fanciful chest containing a figmental weapon.” Community item databases list the coffer and the weapons it yields at required level 1 and item level 1. These are not current endgame weapons. Their practical use is appearance, so if you are collecting them for looks, the level and item level numbers do not matter. No drop rate for the Figmental Weapon Coffer appears in the official notes or item listings that describe its sources. Treat any percentage you see elsewhere as unverified unless it cites a specific test or dataset. Square Enix’s Patch 7.4 notes confirm that rewards in both duties were adjusted, so older reward tables may no longer match what the duties give out. Check the current Lodestone patch notes before relying on any specific reward list.
