The right alternative depends on one question: do you need wireless play on Xbox, or just on PC? The GameSir G7 Pro is wired on Xbox, despite offering wireless modes for PC and mobile. The Razer Wolverine V3 Pro is the clearest option here if wireless play on both Xbox and PC is essential; the 8BitDo Ultimate 3-mode is wireless on Windows PC but wired on Xbox. Check the connection mode for the exact model before buying.
Quick comparison: Xbox and PC connection modes

Need wireless on Xbox? Compare the Razer Wolverine V3 Pro
Of the alternatives with a sourced connection description, the Razer Wolverine V3 Pro is the fit to investigate if a cable-free Xbox setup is a requirement. Razer says it works wirelessly on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC, using a 2.4 GHz USB-A dongle. Razer lists Windows 11 PC support.
Razer also lists a 1000 Hz polling rate for its wired PC Tournament Mode. That is a manufacturer-published, mode-specific specification—not evidence that it outperforms the other controllers in real-world latency. Confirm that the dongle connection and your console or PC setup suit your space and available ports.

Wireless PC is enough? Consider the 8BitDo Ultimate 3-mode
The 8BitDo Ultimate 3-mode Controller for Xbox is not a wireless Xbox alternative: its official page specifies USB wired use on Xbox. It does offer 2.4 GHz wireless on Windows PC and Bluetooth for Apple or Android devices, making it relevant if you want one controller for wired Xbox and wireless use elsewhere.
Want to compare PC polling specifications? Look at the 8BitDo Ultimate 3E
The 8BitDo Ultimate 3E for Xbox page states up to 1000 Hz polling in wired and wireless PC modes. It also lists 6-axis motion control under PC 2.4G mode. Those claims are scoped to the stated PC modes; they should not be read as Xbox polling or performance claims. Check the exact edition’s Xbox connection details before choosing it for a particular setup.

What the GameSir G7 Pro does—and what it does not
GameSir describes the G7 Pro as an Xbox-wired controller with wireless modes for PC and mobile. Its 1000 Hz polling claim applies to PC over wired or 2.4 GHz connections. So it can make sense if you want PC wireless but do not mind plugging in on Xbox; its PC wireless mode does not mean it is wireless on Xbox.
How to choose for your setup
- Wireless Xbox is non-negotiable: Start with the Razer Wolverine V3 Pro, whose manufacturer describes wireless Xbox support through a 2.4 GHz USB-A dongle.
- You mainly want wireless PC: Compare the G7 Pro and 8BitDo Ultimate 3-mode, then account for whether you also need a wired Xbox connection or mobile Bluetooth.
- You care about PC polling specifications: Compare the modes attached to each manufacturer’s claim. A matching 1000 Hz figure does not make the modes, platforms, or controllers equivalent.
- You are considering the 8BitDo Ultimate 3E or Elite Series 2: Verify the exact model’s Xbox connection, PC modes, and edition-specific features on its official product page before purchase.
