It did not have a guaranteed spawn: the elusive NPC wandered through the woods and vanished if players got too close. A later update turned Bigfoot into a boss at varying Golden Coast locations. Those are historical directions, however—not confirmation that Bigfoot is available in the current season.
Where Bigfoot appeared in Fortnite
For the original Chapter 7 Season 1 sighting, search the forest around Redwood Forest Park near Tiptop Terrace. Bigfoot was reported roaming the area rather than standing at one fixed point, so visiting a precise map marker was not a reliable way to trigger the encounter. Insider Gaming’s December 12, 2025 location guide describes the sighting, while the community-maintained Fortnite Wiki’s Bigfoot history also records the Chapter 7 appearance.

- Look through the woods around Redwood Forest Park, close to Tiptop Terrace.
- Scan as you move through the area; the reported encounter had no guaranteed fixed spawn.
- Keep your distance if you spot Bigfoot, since approaching too closely could make it disappear.
What Bigfoot did—and how the encounter changed
Bigfoot’s behavior depended on which version of the encounter was active. The December 2025 sighting was an elusive NPC, not a fight: Insider Gaming reported that Bigfoot could not be attacked, could not hurt players, and vanished when they got too close. The guide characterized the encounter as an attraction rather than a useful gameplay interaction.
The Fortnite Wiki records a different version from February 5, 2026: Bigfoot became a neutral boss appearing at varying Golden Coast locations, accompanied by Henchfans. According to that community-maintained account, Bigfoot could become hostile if provoked or approached too closely, used FlowBerry Mist Grenades in combat, and dropped loot when defeated. These boss details are community-wiki reporting, not confirmation from Epic Games.

Can you still find Bigfoot in Fortnite?
Current availability is unconfirmed. Epic’s August 20, 2026 Chapter 7 Season 4 announcement establishes that Season 4 is current, but it does not mention Bigfoot. A secondary guide published August 8, 2026 reported that Bigfoot was absent in Season 3; that does not establish whether the character returned in Season 4. The available evidence therefore cannot support a confident yes or no for the current season.
If Bigfoot does not appear at the historical location, that alone does not mean you missed a guaranteed spawn: the original sighting was reported as random, and later behavior and availability changed over time. Treat the Tiptop Terrace directions as historical rather than a promise of a current encounter.

Bigfoot’s older Fortnite appearance
Bigfoot also appeared in Chapter 2 Season 5, which ran from December 2, 2020, to March 16, 2021, according to the Fortnite Wiki. That was a separate historical appearance, associated with a random encounter near a tree. Those directions should not be confused with the later Golden Coast locations.

No. The Bigfoot Outfit is a digital cosmetic listed as an Item Shop purchase with V-Bucks; wearing or buying it is separate from finding the Bigfoot character in a match. Fortnite is free to play, according to the Epic Games Store’s Fortnite experiences page, but that does not make the outfit or other cosmetics the same as a map encounter.
