Archie’s final stop in the Moon quest is the lunar Pyramid overlook, which you reach underground from Sorrow’s Harbor. Once you reach him there, interact with him and return to Ada-1 to finish the quest. The trail passes through four clue locations: Archer’s Line, the Temple of Crota in Anchor of Light, the Hellmouth Hive portal, and then the Pyramid. The route below is taken from 2024 walkthroughs by Shacknews and The Game Post, so check the availability section at the end before you set out.
Route in order
Follow these six stages in sequence. Each clue leads to the next stop, so skipping one will stall the trail.

- Start in the Tower Annex. Look for glowing paw prints at Archie’s usual spot outside Ada-1’s room. Investigate them, then speak to Ada-1 to receive the quest “Where on the Moon is Archie?”
- Visit Eris Morn in Sanctuary. She is the first destination after you pick up the quest.
- Archer’s Line: the broken accelerator. Head to the broken middle section of the accelerator. Investigate the paw prints on top of the southern bunker section.
- Anchor of Light: the Temple of Crota. Go through the eastern tunnel toward the place where Guardians “woke the Hive.” Look for the prints on the upper level near the Wizard. One of the guides advises defeating the yellow-bar Wizard first.
- Hellmouth: the Hive portal. Travel to the northern side, near the starting area for Crota’s End and the Hive Ritual public-event location. The prints sit beside the large Hive portal.
- Sorrow’s Harbor to the lunar Pyramid. Head toward the Scarlet Keep and enter the gatehouse, then take the left-hand door. Follow the underground route toward the dark caves, keeping to the left-hand wall until you reach the Pyramid overlook. Archie stands near a Nightmare. Interact with him, then return to Ada-1.
The clues and where they point
Each stop is set up by a clue. The table pairs the clue theme with the location it sends you to.

The accelerator clue reads exactly: “Archie was hoping to send supplies to his friends across the system using the accelerator. Too bad it’s broken.” It is in-game quest text, not a quote from a named character.

Common points of confusion
- Prints are the marker. At each stop, the prints are glowing and sit on a specific object or spot. Check the named object before searching the whole area.
- Ada-1 bookends the quest. You start with her and finish by returning to her after you find Archie.
- Neomuna is a different hunt. PC Gamer covers a separate “Where in Neomuna is Archie?” hunt with its own reward. Its route does not apply to the Moon.
- No item is needed. The route requires no physical product or guide. Follow the in-game prints and dialogue.
Whether the quest can still be started
The Ishtar Collective item record dates the quest step to Season of the Wish, added on 2024-04-10. The walkthroughs describe the 2024 hunt. Neither source confirms whether a player can newly start this quest on the current date, 2026-10-08. If the Tower Annex prints or Ada-1’s dialogue do not appear for you, the route above cannot be followed as written, and the sources do not explain why.
