Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →The Blackview PlayPop 8 is a compact console that connects to a TV, monitor, or projector over HDMI and uses a front-facing camera to track players’ body movements instead of relying on conventional game controllers. Blackview says it supports up to four players, includes five starter games, and offers a larger premium library through its GamePass subscription. Its active-play and developmental benefits are manufacturer marketing claims, not independently established outcomes.
How does PlayPop 8 work?
After connecting the console to a screen and Wi-Fi, players stand in front of its camera and use body movement to interact with games. Blackview describes the system as using 17-point body tracking. It lists HDMI output up to 4K/60 fps, but that is a manufacturer specification, not an independent performance test.
Blackview recommends placing or mounting the device 40–140 cm above the floor. Its guidance is to stand about 1.5 m away for solo play and 2–3 m away for group play. Leave enough unobstructed room for everyone to move; the stated player capacity does not guarantee that a crowded or cramped space will be comfortable.
What does the PlayPop 8 include, and what does it need?
Blackview lists these items in the box:
- PlayPop 8 console
- Remote control
- HDMI cable
- Charging cable
- Manual and warranty card
The product page recommends a 15W (5V/3A) power adapter. The HDMI cable is included, so a separate cable is not listed as necessary. You will also need a compatible screen and Wi-Fi for the described setup.

What does Blackview say about camera privacy?
Blackview says the console has a physical shutter that covers the camera and that motion-tracking calculations are processed on the device without uploading that tracking data to the cloud. These are the manufacturer’s statements, not the result of an independent security audit. They do not establish how every other type of device data is handled.
