Dawntrail added new crafting (tradecraft) and gathering (fieldcraft) leves, but Square Enix’s Patch 7.0 notes explicitly say it added no new tradecraft leves or fisher fieldcraft leves that allow multiple turn-ins. The notes also cap certain below-level-90 leve rewards at 1,000 EXP. This guide covers those verified rules and explains how to check current leve details without guessing at names, requirements, locations, or rewards.
What are the Dawntrail leves?
Leves are repeatable quests used by crafting and gathering classes. Square Enix’s FINAL FANTASY XIV Patch 7.0 notes state that “New tradecraft and fieldcraft leves have been added.” Tradecraft leves are for Disciples of the Hand; fieldcraft leves are for gathering classes.
The notes establish that new leves were added, but they do not provide a complete leve-by-leve list. The available official reference does not supply a ready-made table of current leve names, levels, requested items or tasks, issuing NPCs, locations, or rewards, so those details should be checked against individual current entries rather than inferred.
Before planning repeated turn-ins or EXP
- Multiple turn-ins: Patch 7.0 added no tradecraft leves or fisher fieldcraft leves allowing multiple turn-ins. Do not plan repeated deliveries on the assumption that a new Dawntrail leve in either category supports them.
- Below-level-90 EXP: Under the Patch 7.0 rule, a level 90-or-higher Disciple of the Hand class or fisher completing a leve whose level requirement is below 90 receives at most 1,000 EXP.
These are rules stated in the Patch 7.0 notes, not a confirmation that every subsequent patch left them unchanged.

How to look up current Dawntrail leve details
- Open the Eorzea Database. Its page reports Version: Patch 7.56 and provides search categories including quests, items, crafting logs, and gathering logs.
- Search for the specific leve or related item, then check the current entry for the class, level, requested item or gathering task, quantity or quality requirement where applicable, issuing NPC and location, turn-in location, and listed rewards.
- Confirm that each detail belongs to the leve itself. An item or log entry can help identify a requested craft or gathering target, but it is not a substitute for the leve’s own requirements and reward information.
- For a complete resource sheet, record every leve individually and verify the details against current entries. Compare options by class, level, travel and turn-in convenience, material cost or gathering effort, and listed reward; without those details, a “best” leve recommendation is not established.
Version note
The multiple-turn-in and EXP statements above come from Square Enix’s Patch 7.0 notes. The Lodestone database page currently labels itself Patch 7.56, but that label does not establish that the Patch 7.0 leve rules were rechecked or unchanged in later patches. Consult current game and database entries before relying on patch-specific details.
