If “Ask to Turn” is missing in The Sims 4, first check whether the vampire you selected has the Vampire Creation perk. A July 2025 troubleshooting guide identifies that perk as a common prerequisite; it also suggests checking the target’s age and relationship with the vampire. Check the vampire’s Vampire Creation perk
Select the vampire who is supposed to perform the conversion, then inspect that Sim’s vampire powers or perks for Vampire Creation. CyberPost’s July 1, 2025 guide identifies the perk as a prerequisite for turning another Sim. Check the target Sim and the relationship
Target’s age
The same guide says children and toddlers cannot be turned and advises that the target be a teenager or older. Treat that as reported guidance rather than an officially verified age rule: the available material does not establish the precise current life-stage requirements.
Relationship with the vampire
Build the relationship between the two Sims, then check whether “Ask to Turn” appears. The guide describes relationship level as a factor but gives no exact threshold. It does not confirm which relationship interactions or level are required.

Confirm the Vampires Game Pack is installed
Check that The Sims 4: Vampires Game Pack is installed and available in the game installation you are using. A secondary FAQ aggregation says the pack is needed for vampire creation, but this was not verified against an accessible official EA page. The sources also do not establish platform-specific differences or current regional availability.
If the interaction is still missing
Mods or a temporary game problem are possible troubleshooting avenues, not confirmed causes. If you use mods, back up your save before testing without them; then restart the game and try the interaction again. The secondary guide suggests disabling mods and restarting or resetting, but does not provide an official support sequence. When you do not need to convert an existing Sim
If preserving a particular Sim in the current save is not important, a secondary FAQ aggregation reports that Create-a-Sim has an “Add Vampire” option. That is an alternative to converting an existing character, not a fix for a missing “Ask to Turn” interaction. The exact current Create-a-Sim controls were not independently verified, so check the in-game interface.
