The report described it as an original take on Marvel, but said no cards or mechanics had been revealed at the time. Wizards’ event page confirms the panel and its broader Marvel collaboration; it does not name Darkhold Destiny.
What is Darkhold Destiny?
A live-blog report credited to Jacqueline Thomas names Darkhold Destiny as a Marvel-related Magic set and characterizes it as “a completely original take on Marvel.” That characterization is the reporter’s description, not a direct quotation from Wizards of the Coast. The official Wizards event page confirms a Magic and Marvel presence at NYCC, but does not independently confirm the set name.
Were cards or mechanics revealed?
No. The live blog said cards and mechanics had not been announced at the time of its update. The available reporting therefore does not establish which characters, card designs, gameplay mechanics, formats, or products will be part of Darkhold Destiny.
When was the Magic NYCC panel?
Wizards of the Coast scheduled its Magic panel for Friday, October 9, 2026, from 7:45 to 8:45 p.m. ET in North Room #406.3. New York Comic Con ran October 8–11, 2026, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City. Wizards listed Magic booth #1301.

- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Wizards’ NYCC event page said the panel would feature “all sorts of Magic reveals” and described the company’s Marvel collaboration. The live-blog report said the set announcement was already on YouTube before the panel; its time labels are live-coverage timestamps, so the official event page is the clearest source for the scheduled panel time.
What else did Wizards have at NYCC?
The event program included Marvel-themed activities, but Wizards did not identify them as Darkhold Destiny products. Its page listed a Marvel Super Heroes Beginner Box for learn-to-play demos and a Marvel Super Heroes Welcome Deck while supplies lasted. These are distinct from the reported new set; the page establishes their event role, not their availability or price elsewhere.
