Cyberpunk 2077 Console Commands and Cheats List: CET Guide for Patch 2.31

Cyberpunk 2077 has no vanilla cheat console. This current CET guide covers Patch 2.31 commands for money, items, ammo, crafting materials, progression and teleportation, plus platform limits, installation, quest warnings and troubleshooting.

Cyberpunk 2077 has no ordinary built-in cheat console. On Windows PC, the command console used by most current cheat guides comes from the community-made Cyber Engine Tweaks (CET) framework. CET can add money, ammunition, crafting materials and items, change progression, print coordinates, teleport V and alter selected quest facts.

This guide uses Patch 2.31, released on September 11, 2025, as its reference baseline. Commands are case-sensitive and many pre-2.0 commands are obsolete. Use the CET release that explicitly matches the game version shown in your main menu, and test commands on a separate save.

Platform summary: CET’s normal installation route is for Windows PC. There is no standard CET console route on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S or Nintendo Switch 2. Linux and Steam Deck users can attempt a Proton setup, while the native Mac version requires separate consideration and should not be treated as standard Windows CET compatibility.

What are Cyberpunk 2077 console commands?

In current guides, “Cyberpunk 2077 console commands” generally means Lua commands entered through Cyber Engine Tweaks. CET is a community scripting framework that adds an overlay and console to the PC version; it is not a cheat menu supplied by CD PROJEKT RED.

The game’s vanilla installation does not expose a documented, player-facing command console. REDmod is CDPR’s official mod-development and mod-loading toolset, but installing REDmod by itself does not give you CET’s interactive cheat console.

  • Refined bumpers and D-pad. Light but tactile.
Tool or resource What it does Cheat-console role
Cyber Engine Tweaks Community scripting framework with an overlay, Lua console and access to game systems such as TweakDB. The normal PC command-console solution.
REDmod CDPR’s official tools for creating and loading supported mods. Not a standalone interactive cheat console.
Community command lists Collections of Lua commands, scripts and item IDs. Reference material only; they do not execute commands without the appropriate tool.
Save editor External utility for changing some offline save data. An alternative to an in-game console, with different compatibility and corruption risks.

CDPR states that it does not create or maintain community mods and may not support modified installations. Keep an unmodified save and do not treat CET as an officially supported cheat system.

Which platforms support the console?

Platform Standard CET console support What to expect
Windows PC Yes This is CET’s main supported use case. Use a CET release matching your game patch.
Linux or Steam Deck through Proton Possible, but advanced Follow the separate Linux/Proton instructions. Do not assume that Windows troubleshooting steps cover every Proton setup.
Native Apple-silicon Mac Not through the normal Windows CET route The standard guide targets Windows files, bin/x64 and Windows dependencies. Check the native macOS modding documentation instead.
PlayStation 5 No No ordinary CET command list or installation path is available.
Xbox Series X|S No No ordinary CET command list or installation path is available.
Nintendo Switch 2 No Patch 2.31 supports the platform, but that does not provide a CET console route.

A third-party native Mac console project appeared in 2026, but it is not the official CET project and should not be presented as universally compatible CET support. Treat it as a separate, experimental project and verify its compatibility independently.

Version requirements: Patch 2.31 and CET

Reference baseline: Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.31, released September 11, 2025. CDPR’s Patch 2.31 notes cover PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Mac and Nintendo Switch 2. The CET release history records v1.37.0 as adding Patch 2.31 support, with v1.37.1 listed later in the repository history.

That does not mean every command in every list works on 2.31. Before installing:

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  1. Launch the game without entering a command and note the exact version in the main menu.
  2. Open the CET GitHub releases page, not just an old third-party guide.
  3. Choose the latest CET build that explicitly supports your installed game version.
  4. If you deliberately rolled the game back to an older patch, use the CET build for that older patch rather than automatically installing the newest release.

Update 2.0 changed the attribute, perk and progression systems substantially. The current CET documentation separates Patch 2.x guidance from legacy Patch 1.x material. Do not copy a pre-2.0 command simply because it still appears in a highly ranked search result.

How to install Cyber Engine Tweaks

These are the standard Windows installation steps. For the authoritative, version-sensitive instructions, see the CET installation guide.

  1. Update Cyberpunk 2077, or deliberately confirm the older version you intend to run.
  2. Download CET from its current GitHub release. Download the release archive, not the source-code package.
  3. Extract the archive into the game’s root folder—the folder containing the game’s main executable and directories such as bin.
  4. Confirm that the extracted files are under Cyberpunk 2077binx64. The installation should include the CET loader files, including cyber_engine_tweaks.asi and version.dll, plus the pluginscyber_engine_tweaks directory.
  5. Install the current Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable if it is missing.
  6. Set the game to Windowed Borderless if the overlay does not appear. Overlay capture is often less troublesome in that mode.
  7. Temporarily disable conflicting overlays and monitoring tools, including Steam Overlay, Discord Overlay, GeForce Experience, Xbox Game Bar, MSI Afterburner, RivaTuner and similar software.
  8. Launch the game. On first launch, CET asks you to choose an overlay key. The tilde key is not necessarily the default, so use the key you actually selected.
  9. Load a save, open the CET overlay and select the Console tab.

If Windows Defender or another antivirus program quarantines a CET file, restore it only if you downloaded the archive from the project’s legitimate release page and understand the risk of running third-party mod code. Check the log before repeatedly reinstalling.

Do this before entering a command

Commands can write changes into your save. Removing CET later does not reliably undo those changes.
  • Create a manual save before installing CET.
  • Keep a clean, unmodified save in a separate slot or backup folder.
  • Use a second save for command testing, especially for quest facts, progression changes and teleportation.
  • Enter one command at a time and wait to see its result.
  • Start with a small quantity, such as 100 eddies, rather than testing with a million.
  • Do not use quest commands on your main story save.
  • Do not assume that uninstalling CET will restore the character or inventory to its previous state.
  • For achievement-focused play, keep an unmodded save and an unmodded session available. Do not rely on an unconditional promise that CET or other mods will preserve achievements.

First test command

After opening the Console tab, use this small, low-impact test:

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
Game.AddToInventory("Items.money", 100)

Check whether the eddy total changes. If it does not, stop and troubleshoot the installation, syntax or version before trying a larger command.

Core Cyberpunk 2077 console commands

CET commands are case-sensitive. Use normal quotation marks, not typographic “smart quotes,” and preserve punctuation, capitalization and parentheses exactly. The examples below follow the current Patch 2.x format documented on the CET useful-commands page.

Purpose Command Qualification
Add money Game.AddToInventory("Items.money", 10000) Adds 10,000 eurodollars; it is not an “infinite money” toggle.
Add an item Game.AddToInventory("Items.<item_id>", <quantity>) Requires a valid current TweakDB item ID.
Set level Game.SetLevel("Level", 60, 1) Level 60 is associated with the Phantom Liberty-era progression setup; do not treat it as universal for every base-game-only configuration.
Print V’s coordinates print(Game.GetPlayer():GetWorldPosition()) Returns the current world position for use when investigating locations or teleportation.

Money, ammunition and crafting materials

Money

Game.AddToInventory("Items.QuickHackRareMaterial1", 1000)
Game.AddToInventory("Items.QuickHackEpicMaterial1", 1000)
Game.AddToInventory("Items.QuickHackLegendaryMaterial1", 1000)

The current useful-commands page specifically documents the uncommon-through-legendary quickhack component examples above. Do not automatically assume that a similarly named common quickhack ID exists in your target build; confirm it in the current item reference first.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Weapons, clothing, cyberware and iconic items

The general item command is:

Game.AddToInventory("Items.<item_id>", <quantity>)

Replace <item_id> with the exact current TweakDB ID and <quantity> with a number. For example, the current CET documentation gives this clothing example:

Game.AddToInventory("Items.SQ031_Samurai_Jacket", 1)

This adds the Replica of Johnny’s Samurai Jacket. It is safer to use a current ID reference than to rely on a static article claiming to contain every weapon, outfit, cyberware and iconic item. The broad community categorized command list and the Patch 2.x spreadsheet linked from the CET wiki are useful starting points, but they are community-maintained and can contain scripts as well as simple inventory commands.

Keep these limitations in mind:

  • An item ID can change, be removed or behave differently after a patch.
  • An item may require Phantom Liberty or another specific game state.
  • Adding a quest item does not necessarily advance or complete its quest.
  • Adding an iconic item does not guarantee that its intended acquisition, upgrade path or quest flags have been initialized.
  • Adding large quantities can create inventory clutter or make a save harder to manage.

Level, attributes, perk points and progression

Update 2.0 replaced important parts of the old progression system. The following current examples use the newer development-system calls rather than the old pre-2.0 commands.

Set V’s level

Game.SetLevel("Level", 60, 1)

The CET wiki uses this as a Patch 2.x example for setting V to level 60. Phantom Liberty changes the progression ceiling and adds Relic progression, so level 60 should not be described as a universal base-game-only setting. A command that raises the level does not necessarily reproduce every reward, quest condition or progression step that would have occurred through normal play.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Set an attribute value

PlayerDevelopmentSystem.GetInstance(Game.GetPlayer()):GetDevelopmentData(Game.GetPlayer()):SetAttribute("Strength", 15)

The visible attribute this example changes is Body; Strength is the internal naming used by the game system. This is a direct value change, not the same as granting five legitimate attribute points. It can affect perk availability, checks and build state without recreating all normal progression logic.

Do not publish or rely on a complete attribute-name table without checking it against the current Patch 2.x reference. Update 2.0 changed the system, and internal names in old lists may no longer be valid.

Add attribute points

PlayerDevelopmentSystem.GetInstance(Game.GetPlayer()):GetDevelopmentData(Game.GetPlayer()):AddDevelopmentPoints(5, gamedataDevelopmentPointType.Attribute)

This adds five attribute points.

Add primary or perk points

PlayerDevelopmentSystem.GetInstance(Game.GetPlayer()):GetDevelopmentData(Game.GetPlayer()):AddDevelopmentPoints(3, gamedataDevelopmentPointType.Primary)

This adds three primary development points used for the post-2.0 perk system.

The older Game.GiveDevPoints(...) command belongs to legacy guidance and should not be treated as the current post-2.0 command. If it fails, that is usually a version or command-family problem rather than evidence that CET is not installed.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Teleportation and coordinates

First print V’s current position:

print(Game.GetPlayer():GetWorldPosition())

The CET documentation provides this teleport template:

Game.GetTeleportationFacility():Teleport(
GetPlayer(),
ToVector4{x=X, y=Y, z=Z, w=1},
ToEulerAngles{roll=0, pitch=0, yaw=0}
)

X, Y and Z are placeholders, not literal values. Replace them with numeric coordinates. Teleporting is more dangerous than adding money because V can be placed inside geometry, in an unloaded area, inside an inaccessible interior or beyond a quest’s expected trigger sequence.

It introduces powerful new features such as gyro settings, stick curve adjustments, and button-to-mouse mapping, giving you deeper customization and more control than ever before.

Before teleporting, save in a separate slot. If V becomes stranded, reload the pre-teleport save rather than repeatedly trying random coordinates. A coordinate move does not automatically load every destination, activate its quest triggers or place V at a safe floor position.

Vehicles: unlocks are not universal spawn commands

Vehicle commands need to be separated into two different use cases:

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  1. Enabling an existing player vehicle: this depends on the correct current vehicle record and vehicle-system syntax.
  2. Registering a custom vehicle: this belongs to a modding workflow and requires the vehicle record to exist in the game’s TweakDB.

For example, the vehicle-modding documentation shows:

Game.GetVehicleSystem():EnablePlayerVehicle('Vehicle.boe6_mini_cooper', true, false)

This is an example for a custom Mini Cooper record. It is not a universal “spawn any car” command and will not work if that vehicle record does not exist in the installation. Avoid lists promising an unsupported command to unlock every vehicle without identifying the vehicle IDs, game version and required mod.

Quest facts and story commands

Spoiler warning: The examples below change story-related facts and can alter character outcomes.

CET can set selected quest facts, but a fact is not a general quest trigger or repair tool. The current CET documentation explicitly says there is no general way to trigger or “fix” stuck quests with the console. Randomly changing facts can skip required setup, create an inconsistent state or make a quest impossible to complete normally.

Examples documented by CET include:

Game.GetQuestsSystem():SetFactStr('sq032_johnny_friend', 1)
Game.GetQuestsSystem():SetFactStr('mq007_skippy_aim_at_head', 1)
Game.GetQuestsSystem():SetFactStr('mq007_skippy_goes_emo', 0)
Game.GetQuestsSystem():SetFactStr('q112_takemura_dead', 1)

Use these only when you understand the specific story state they represent, and never on the only copy of a story save. If a quest is already stuck, first load a save from before the problem. Do not attempt a sequence of guessed facts as a substitute for a verified quest-specific fix.

God mode, infinite stamina, noclip and free-camera commands

These commands are less reliable than the inventory and development examples above. Secondary guides often mix CET Lua, old pre-2.0 syntax, custom scripts and commands from different execution environments. Some list commands such as:

Game.GetPlayer():SetImmortal(true)

That syntax should be treated as community-maintained and patch-sensitive, not as a guaranteed Patch 2.31 command. The current CET useful-commands documentation does not present one universal god-mode command with the same level of authority as its money, inventory, level, development and coordinate examples.

Do not paste commands named simply god, noclip or player.SetLevel(...) into CET unless the source identifies the required framework, script, game version and execution context. A command that looks like a developer console command may belong to a different tool entirely.

For experimental toggles:

  • label them as unverified or patch-sensitive;
  • save before enabling them;
  • test them outside quests and combat sequences;
  • reload the pre-test save if the game state becomes abnormal;
  • do not assume that toggling a value back or uninstalling CET will clean every change.

Why old Cyberpunk 2077 cheat lists fail

Many prominent lists were written around the original release or the temporary period immediately after Update 2.0, when CET compatibility had not yet caught up. That historical information can explain why an old guide says cheats are unavailable, but it is not a current Patch 2.31 answer.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Common errors include:

  • Using Game.GiveDevPoints(...) after the Update 2.0 progression overhaul.
  • Putting the item ID and quantity inside one string, such as Game.AddToInventory('Items.money, 2000'), instead of passing them as separate arguments.
  • Failing to say that a command requires CET.
  • Presenting god, noclip or player.SetLevel(...) as universal Cyberpunk commands.
  • Mixing pre-Phantom Liberty IDs with post-2.0 commands.
  • Calling a static collection a complete list when item IDs and scripts can change.
  • Promising that quest facts can repair any broken quest.

The practical rule is simple: use the current CET Patch 2.x reference, identify the command’s source, and verify the game/CET version before changing a save.

Troubleshooting CET

The official CET troubleshooting documentation should be the first reference when the overlay or loader fails.

CET does not load or the overlay is missing

  1. Confirm the files are in Cyberpunk 2077binx64, not one folder deeper because the archive was extracted into an extra directory.
  2. Check for cyber_engine_tweaks.asi, version.dll and pluginscyber_engine_tweaks.
  3. Confirm that the CET build supports the exact installed game version.
  4. Install or repair the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable.
  5. Check whether antivirus software quarantined a CET file.
  6. Switch to Windowed Borderless mode.
  7. Disable Steam, Discord, GeForce Experience, Xbox Game Bar, MSI Afterburner, RivaTuner and other overlays temporarily.
  8. Read Cyberpunk 2077binx64pluginscyber_engine_tweakscyber_engine_tweaks.log.

A game/CET mismatch can produce an unsupported-version error, a missing overlay, crashes or commands that silently fail. Installing a newer CET over an older game is not a universal solution.

The first-launch key prompt never appears

Disable overlay software and try Windowed Borderless mode first. Confirm the files and version match, then try running the game as administrator if necessary. If CET previously created a bad or inaccessible binding, close the game and delete:

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
Cyberpunk 2077binx64pluginscyber_engine_tweaksbindings.json

Launch again so CET can request a new overlay key.

The overlay appears, but the command returns an error

  • Check every capital letter: CET commands and many IDs are case-sensitive.
  • Replace smart quotes with ordinary quotation marks.
  • Use the current two-argument inventory syntax: Game.AddToInventory('ID', quantity).
  • Confirm that the item ID exists in a current Patch 2.x list.
  • Check whether the command belongs to Patch 1.x.
  • Test the known-safe money command with a small amount.
  • Reload the save if the command changed a gameplay state unexpectedly.

The command ran, but the menu did not update

Some systems do not refresh their UI immediately. Leave the menu and reopen it, change area or reload the save. If the underlying value still does not change, do not keep repeating the command: the ID, method, DLC requirement or game version may be wrong.

The game crashes or a quest becomes unstable

Stop experimenting and load the manual save made before the command. Do not attempt random quest facts to repair the result. CET’s own documentation says it is not a general stuck-quest repair system.

How to remove CET safely

Removing the files can stop CET from loading, but it is not a save rollback. The CET uninstall documentation warns that edits already written to the character or save remain after the mod is removed. Items added through CET may also remain in the inventory and may not be removable without CET.

For a clean return:

  1. Close the game and launcher.
  2. Keep the clean backup made before installing or testing.
  3. Remove CET according to the current uninstall instructions rather than deleting unrelated mod files.
  4. Use the launcher’s file-verification function if the installation reports missing or altered files.
  5. Load the clean save if you want to remove command-made progression, quest or inventory changes.

If you only remove CET and continue with the modified save, the save may still contain the changes.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Alternatives to console commands

  • Normal respec and progression: Use the game’s own respec systems if you only want to try a different build.
  • Build planning: CDPR’s official build planner lets you plan attributes and perks without changing a save.
  • REDmod: Use REDmod for supported mod creation and loading, not as a replacement for CET’s interactive console.
  • Save editors: These can alter some offline save data, but they have their own version, backup and corruption concerns and should not be mixed casually with CET editing.
  • Community references: The CET wiki and its linked Patch 2.x spreadsheet are more useful than a static “full list,” provided you check the command against your installed version.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Cyberpunk 2077 have built-in cheat codes?

No ordinary player-facing cheat console is available in the vanilla game. Most PC cheat guides refer to Cyber Engine Tweaks, a community-made framework that adds a Lua console.

Can I use Cyberpunk 2077 console commands on PS5, Xbox or Switch 2?

There is no standard CET installation or command-console route for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S or Nintendo Switch 2. CET’s normal use case is Windows PC.

Is Cyber Engine Tweaks compatible with Patch 2.31?

The CET release history records v1.37.0 as adding Patch 2.31 support and lists v1.37.1 later. Always check the current CET release page and use the build that explicitly matches the version shown in your game’s main menu.

Do console commands work with Phantom Liberty?

CET has Patch 2.x commands used with Phantom Liberty-era builds, but individual items, quest facts and progression commands can still depend on DLC ownership and game version. Level 60 is associated with the Phantom Liberty-era progression setup and should not be assumed for every base-game-only installation.

Does CET work on the native Mac version?

Do not use the standard Windows instructions as if they supported native macOS. The usual CET guide targets Windows files and dependencies. Check the separate native Mac modding documentation and treat third-party Mac console projects as independent, experimental tools.

Are CET commands case-sensitive?

Yes. Preserve capitalization, punctuation, parentheses and item-ID spelling. Use ordinary quotation marks rather than smart quotes.

Why does Game.GiveDevPoints not work?

It is an old pre-2.0 command and should not be treated as the current progression syntax. Use the current PlayerDevelopmentSystem AddDevelopmentPoints examples from the Patch 2.x CET reference.

Can console commands fix a stuck quest?

Not reliably. CET documents selected quest-fact commands but explicitly states that there is no general console method to trigger or fix stuck quests. Load a save from before the problem instead of guessing facts.

What’s actually slowing this PC down?

Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Will uninstalling CET undo the changes?

No. Removing CET does not reverse edits already written to a character or save. Added items and progression changes may remain, so use a clean pre-command save for a true rollback.

Can I add any weapon, clothing item or cyberware with Game.AddToInventory?

Only when you know a valid current TweakDB item ID and the item is available in your game’s version and DLC configuration. The generic command is not proof that every ID will work, and quest items may not advance their associated quests.

Why did a command execute but not update the menu?

Some interfaces refresh only after leaving and reopening the menu, changing area or reloading. If the underlying value still does not change, check the ID, syntax, DLC requirement and patch-specific command reference rather than repeating it.

Should I use a Patch 1.x or Patch 2.x command list?

Use Patch 2.x for Update 2.0 and later installations, including the Patch 2.31 baseline. Use a Patch 1.x list only if you deliberately run a matching older game version and CET release.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The Bottom Line

For a current Windows PC installation, install the CET release matching your game, open its Console tab and start with a small money command. Use the current Patch 2.x syntax for inventory and development changes, verify every item ID, and treat teleportation, progression edits, experimental cheats and quest facts as save-affecting operations. There is no standard CET console on PlayStation, Xbox or Switch 2, and uninstalling CET will not undo changes already saved.

For compatibility and commands that change over time, check the CET current-command documentation and release history before using a copied command.
