For genuinely offline-friendly driving, start with BeamNG.drive, Assetto Corsa, Wreckfest, City Car Driving, or My Summer Car. For serious online racing, choose Assetto Corsa Competizione, Le Mans Ultimate, F1 25 with the 2026 Season Pack, or EA SPORTS WRC.
This is a broad driving-games guide rather than a racing-only list. It includes open-world racers, realistic simulators, rally games, drift games, truck simulators, off-road games, survival-driving experiences, and vehicle sandboxes. The ranking is editorial, based on driving feel, offline usefulness, online quality, content, hardware demands, and account or launcher requirements.
Research and service-status date: August 10, 2026. Online features, PC requirements, subscription availability, and launcher policies can change. Most claims below refer to the linked Steam listing or an official publisher source.
Before choosing: single-player does not always mean offline
On PC, offline can mean several different things:
- Offline against AI: you race or drive alone against computer-controlled vehicles.
- Offline after activation: the game may launch without an active connection after installation and first-time authentication.
- Completely internet-free: installation, launching, saving, and playing work without a connection.
- Offline with online features disabled: the main game works, but multiplayer, cloud saves, leaderboards, seasonal events, user-generated content, or online checks do not.
For that reason, the labels in this guide are more useful than a simple offline/online column:

1. Forza Horizon 6: best overall open-world driving game
Forza Horizon 6 is the obvious first choice if you want a large, modern car-collection game with an open world, accessible handling, events, exploration, customization, and online meetups. It launched on PC and Xbox Series X|S on May 19, 2026, is set in Japan, and replaced Forza Horizon 5 as the current flagship Horizon game.
The important catch is connectivity. Its Steam listing says a persistent internet connection and Microsoft account are required. That makes it an excellent online recommendation but a poor answer for someone searching for completely internet-free driving. Solo activities do not change that requirement.
- Best for: Open-world driving, car variety, modern presentation, convoys, and casual-to-serious players.
- Offline verdict: Not a true offline game.
- Wheel or controller: Controller-friendly; wheel owners can use it, but its accessible design is less demanding than a dedicated simulator.
- Main drawback: Persistent internet, Microsoft account dependency, and a large 167 GB SSD installation.
2. BeamNG.drive: best physics sandbox for offline driving
BeamNG.drive is the best pick for players who care about vehicle behavior more than conventional race progression. Its soft-body physics make crashes, deformation, suspension movement, weight transfer, and vehicle damage central to the experience. Scenarios, traffic, free driving, challenges, and mods give it far more variety than its unfinished-looking career structure suggests.
It is one of the strongest offline-oriented games here. BeamNG’s official FAQ said official online multiplayer was not yet part of the game, while the developer’s multiplayer announcement said the feature was being developed. As of the research date, do not describe BeamNG as having released official online multiplayer. Offline multiseat play exists, and community multiplayer tools should be labeled unofficial.
Version 0.39 released on July 29, 2026, according to the official update post. The trade-off is hardware: traffic and physics simulations can be CPU- and memory-heavy even when the graphics card appears adequate.
- Best for: Crashes, experimentation, realistic vehicle physics, traffic, modding, and sandbox driving.
- Offline verdict: One of the best fits, although installation, updates, and mods may require internet.
- Minimum listed PC: Windows 10 64-bit, 16 GB RAM, GTX 1060/RX 570-class GPU, 60 GB.
- Main drawback: No official multiplayer had launched by the research date and there is less structured progression than in Forza.
3. Need for Speed Unbound: best modern street-racing game
Need for Speed Unbound combines illegal street racing, police pursuits, car customization, a stylized visual identity, and a solo campaign with online modes. It is a better choice than a simulator if you want dramatic races, aggressive driving, and a strong customization loop rather than realistic tire temperatures and braking technique.
It should not be advertised as a guaranteed internet-free game. The Steam listing requires EA online activation, EA App installation, and background software. A solo mode exists, but account, launcher, DRM, and current cached-authentication behavior can affect offline launching depending on the storefront and installation.
- Best for: Street racing, customization, police chases, and controller play.
- Offline verdict: Solo content exists, but strict offline buyers should verify the current EA App behavior before purchase.
- Minimum listed PC: Windows 10 64-bit, 8 GB RAM, GTX 1050 Ti/RX 570, 50 GB.
- Main drawback: EA launcher and online-activation requirements make it less convenient than older offline-first racers.
4. Wreckfest: best demolition racing
Wreckfest is the best choice when the fun comes from bent frames, crumpled bodywork, chaotic starts, and races where finishing with a functioning vehicle is an achievement. Its driving model has more substance than a purely silly arcade racer, but the destruction is always the headline feature.
The offline career, championships, AI races, and challenge modes are separate from online PvP. That makes Wreckfest unusually useful for players with unreliable internet: you can enjoy a substantial solo game and go online only when you want human opponents.
- Best for: Destruction, demolition derbies, AI racing, and casual multiplayer.
- Offline verdict: Strong offline solo choice; online multiplayer is optional.
- Wheel or controller: Much more immediately comfortable with a controller than a serious simulator.
- Minimum listed PC: Windows 10, 8 GB RAM, GTX 560/HD 7770, 32 GB.
5. Assetto Corsa: best value simulator and mod platform
Assetto Corsa remains one of the best PC driving-game purchases for players who want realistic track driving, flexible offline races, VR, wheel support, and a huge mod ecosystem. Its age is visible in the interface and default content, but that is also why the community has had years to build cars, circuits, weather tools, traffic experiences, and alternative championships.
Its offline value is excellent. You can race against AI without depending on a live-service structure, then add online PvP when desired. The caveat is mod management: community content varies in quality and may need separate installers or a content manager. That friction is worthwhile for enthusiasts but not ideal for someone who wants a polished plug-and-play game.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- Best for: Traditional circuit racing, modding, VR, and wheel users on a budget.
- Offline verdict: One of the strongest offline simulator choices.
- Minimum listed PC: 2 GB RAM, GT 460/HD 6450-class GPU, 15 GB.
- Main drawback: Dated presentation and community mod installation can be confusing for beginners.
6. Assetto Corsa Competizione: best GT racing simulator
Assetto Corsa Competizione is the specialist choice for licensed GT racing. It is much narrower than Assetto Corsa: instead of being a general-purpose mod sandbox, it concentrates on GT cars, circuits, race procedures, and competitive driving. That focus produces a more coherent simulation, but it also makes the game less suitable if you want open-world cruising or a huge mixture of vehicle types.
Solo AI racing is available and online competition is a major part of its identity. Keyboard players can try it, but a controller is more suitable and a wheel is the best way to appreciate its braking, throttle, tire, and curb behavior. Check the current Steam listing for the latest PC requirements rather than relying on old listicles.
- Best for: Serious GT racing and organized online competition.
- Offline verdict: Offline AI is available, but this is a demanding simulator rather than a casual offline racer.
- Main drawback: Narrower car and event scope and a steep learning curve.
7. Automobilista 2: best broad offline motorsport simulator
Automobilista 2 is a superb option when you want many types of motorsport in one simulator. Its appeal includes historical cars, multiple disciplines, custom seasons, changing weather, and AI championships. It is more technical than Forza or GRID, but its offline structure makes it particularly good for creating your own long-term racing calendar.

- IMMERSIVE GAMING VISUALS: Boost your gaming experience with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 graphics card, which features 12GB GDDR6 memory and delivers stunning visuals.

- MEMORY PERFORMANCE: Boost your gaming performance with 32GB of LPDDR5 integrated memory. Enjoy faster load times, smoother gameplay, and enhanced multitasking capabilities.
The game’s Steam description highlights continuing updates and expanding content. It also demands more storage than many conventional racers: the listed minimum is 120 GB, with 16 GB RAM and GTX 1080 Ti-class graphics recommended. That is an important consideration for laptop and mid-range PC owners.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute- Best for: Offline championships, historical motorsport, weather, and variety.
- Offline verdict: Strong offline solo mode with optional online PvP.
- Wheel support: A natural wheel-and-pedal choice; beginners should expect setup and calibration time.
- Minimum listed PC: Windows 10, 8 GB RAM, GTX 680-class GPU, 120 GB.
8. Le Mans Ultimate: best endurance-racing game
Le Mans Ultimate is the specialist pick for the World Endurance Championship and long-distance racing. Its appeal comes from race weekends, multiclass traffic, changing weather and track conditions, pit strategy, and the concentration required to make fewer mistakes over a long stint.
You can play an offline Race Weekend against AI, so it is not exclusively an online product. Online functions use the RaceControl service, which provides the game’s competitive ecosystem, ranked events, and hosted-server features. The platform is still evolving, so it is best suited to readers who specifically want endurance racing rather than a broad car collection.
- Best for: WEC identity, endurance events, strategy, and wheel users.
- Offline verdict: Useful offline AI mode, with RaceControl required for online features.
- Minimum listed PC: Windows 10/11, 8 GB RAM, GTX 1060/RX 580, 45 GB.
- Main drawback: Narrow focus and a less mature ecosystem than established simulators.
9. EA SPORTS F1 25 with the 2026 Season Pack: best official F1 game
EA SPORTS F1 25 is the current EA Formula 1 game in 2026. EA did not release a separate F1 26 title; instead, the 2026 FIA Formula One season was delivered as an expansion for F1 25. The content launched on June 3, 2026, according to EA’s season-pack announcement.
It offers the official teams, drivers, circuits, career content, and accessible controller handling expected from the series. However, account and update dependencies matter. EA Account linking is required for online functions, and internet access plus updates are needed for final cars, certain content, and season updates. Treat it as a solo-plus-online game with live-service qualifications, not as a completely self-contained offline product.
- Best for: Formula 1 fans, career mode, official presentation, controller and wheel racing.
- Offline verdict: Solo content exists, but strict no-internet users should consider the EA account and update requirements.
- Minimum listed PC: Windows 10 64-bit 21H1+, 8 GB RAM, GTX 1060/RX 570, 100 GB.
- Main drawback: The 2026 content is an expansion, not a new standalone F1 26 game.
10. EA SPORTS WRC: best current official rally championship
EA SPORTS WRC is the modern official-license option for rally players. It offers championship-style rallying, long stages, career progression, vehicle tuning, and online functions, making it a better fit than a generic racing game if licensed WRC content is the priority.
Its drawbacks are significant for offline-focused readers. The Steam listing requires EA anti-cheat and Denuvo, and warns that EA Javelin Anti-Cheat may require manual removal after uninstall. It also needs 110 GB of storage, with an SSD recommended. The game is a strong rally recommendation, but not the cleanest choice for someone who wants minimal launchers, DRM, or background software.
- Best for: Current official rally content and modern multiplayer functions.
- Offline verdict: Solo content exists, but account, anti-cheat, DRM, and update requirements reduce offline confidence.
- Minimum listed PC: Windows 10, 8 GB RAM, GTX 1060/RX Vega 56, 110 GB; SSD recommended.
11. DiRT Rally 2.0: best value technical rally game
DiRT Rally 2.0 remains a compelling choice for players who want difficult stages, careful pace-note reading, weight transfer, surface changes, and a demanding career at a lower price than newer licensed games often command.
Its online-service status must be stated accurately. Racenet Clubs ended on July 8, 2026 because the website hosting them was sunset. The Steam notice says Time Trial, My Team Career, and Quick Play Multiplayer continued. Therefore, the game is still playable, but Clubs should not be advertised as a current feature.
- Best for: Technical rally driving and value.
- Offline verdict: Solo career and time-trial content remain useful; one major community feature has ended.
- Minimum listed PC: 8 GB RAM, GTX 650 Ti/HD 7750-class GPU, 100 GB.
- Main drawback: Older presentation, large installation, and the loss of Racenet Clubs.
12. CarX Drift Racing Online: best dedicated drifting game
CarX Drift Racing Online is built around drifting rather than conventional lap racing. Tuning, angle, throttle control, shared rooms, community maps, and cross-platform multiplayer make it the natural recommendation for players who want to learn and practice sustained slides.
Despite its title, Steam lists a single-player mode. That does not mean the offline experience is equivalent to the online game: the strongest identity comes from shared drifting spaces, competitive rooms, and online community content. Broadband is listed among the requirements, so treat it as an online-oriented game with a solo option rather than an offline-first purchase.
- Best for: Drifting, tuning, online rooms, and controller play.
- Offline verdict: Single-player is listed, but online is the main attraction.
- Minimum listed PC: Windows 10+, 8 GB RAM, GTX 960/RX 470, 8 GB.
13. Euro Truck Simulator 2: best European road-trip simulator
Euro Truck Simulator 2 belongs here because many people searching for a PC driving game want calm, long-distance road travel rather than racing. You build a trucking business, make deliveries, explore European roads, upgrade vehicles, and progress at a deliberately relaxed pace.
It is a strong solo game and also supports online co-op through convoy-style play. The extensive map and vehicle expansions are separate DLC considerations, so check which edition and map packs a store bundle contains. It is not a sports-car game, but it is one of the best driving experiences for wheel owners and players who enjoy journeys more than competition.

- Minimum listed PC: Windows 10 64-bit, 8 GB RAM, GTX 660/RX 460/Intel HD 630, 25 GB.
- Main drawback: Slow trucking pace and extensive DLC ecosystem may not suit racing fans.
14. American Truck Simulator: best American road-trip sandbox
American Truck Simulator offers the same satisfying delivery-and-progression structure in a United States setting. It is about route planning, fuel, cargo, business growth, scenery, and long journeys rather than overtaking rivals every few seconds.
Like ETS2, it works well as a solo game and offers online co-op for shared trips. It is a particularly good wheel game, although a controller is perfectly workable. The base game and map DLC should be treated separately when comparing editions or prices.

15. City Car Driving: best driving-practice simulator
City Car Driving is for learning traffic behavior, parking, road rules, junctions, lane discipline, and vehicle control. It is not a replacement for a racing game and does not offer a deep car-collection progression system, but it serves a purpose that most racers ignore.
It is single-player only and supports the kind of wheel, pedal, and traffic practice that can help a beginner build confidence. The Steam page warns that correct operation on laptops and integrated graphics is not guaranteed, so do not assume its modest-looking requirements make every low-end laptop suitable.

- Best for: Learners, traffic practice, parking, and realistic road behavior.
- Offline verdict: Single-player only and one of the clearest no-multiplayer choices.
- Minimum listed PC: 4 GB RAM, GT 740/R7 240-class graphics, 10 GB.
- Main drawback: Limited appeal if you want racing, stunts, or a large vehicle collection.
16. Motor Town: Behind The Wheel: best open-world driving-job sandbox
Motor Town: Behind The Wheel is one of the most unusual games on this list. Instead of choosing only between racing and simulation, it combines cars, taxis, buses, trucks, deliveries, races, time trials, refueling, maintenance, and an economy system in an open world. The map is listed as 24 by 16 kilometers with more than 50 cars, trucks, and trailers.
It supports solo driving and online PvP or co-op. The key qualification is development status: the Steam material reviewed still listed Motor Town as Early Access. That can mean unfinished systems, balance changes, bugs, and a roadmap that changes over time, but it also explains why the game is attractive to players who want a living vehicle sandbox rather than a conventional race menu.
- Best for: Open-world jobs, casual vehicle simulation, and co-op activities.
- Offline verdict: Solo content is available; online features are optional.
- Minimum listed PC: Windows 10, 4 GB RAM, GTX 750 4 GB/RX 460 4 GB, 5 GB.
- Main drawback: Early Access status and a less polished presentation than major publishers’ games.
17. Pacific Drive: best story-driven survival road trip
Pacific Drive treats the car as your most important tool, shelter, and companion. You drive into the Olympic Exclusion Zone, scavenge materials, repair damage, install upgrades, and try to survive increasingly dangerous trips back to safety.
This is not a racing game and has no multiplayer focus. Its appeal is atmosphere, route decisions, resource management, and the relationship between the player and a deteriorating vehicle. Choose it if you want a memorable single-player road-trip adventure rather than races or online meetups.
- Best for: Story, survival systems, exploration, and immersive car ownership.
- Offline verdict: Single-player only; a strong fit for solo play.
- Minimum listed PC: Windows 10, 16 GB RAM, GTX 1060 6 GB, 18 GB.
- Main drawback: No competitive racing, co-op, or traditional car collection.
18. SnowRunner: best cooperative off-road driving
SnowRunner is about solving difficult transport problems rather than driving fast. Mud, snow, ice, water, steep slopes, cargo weight, vehicle recovery, route planning, and upgrades all matter. A short delivery can become a long rescue operation when a truck sinks or rolls over.
The Steam description says missions can be played solo or with up to three friends, making SnowRunner one of the best co-op driving games on PC. It is primarily a truck and off-road vehicle game, so it belongs in this broad list for readers who mean driving games generally, not only sports-car racers.
- Best for: Off-road hauling, careful route planning, recovery, and four-player co-op.
- Offline verdict: Strong solo mission structure with optional co-op.
- Minimum listed PC: 8 GB RAM, GTX 660/R9 270, 50 GB.
- Main drawback: Deliberately slow pace and limited relevance to traditional circuit racing.
19. GRID Legends: best accessible circuit-racing career
GRID Legends sits between an arcade racer and a simulator. Its approachable handling, varied events, career content, story presentation, and online PvP make it a good choice for players who want circuit racing without the setup and practice demanded by Assetto Corsa Competizione.
It is not an ideal offline recommendation despite having single-player content. The Steam notice requires an internet connection, EA Account, Steam Account, and EA client software. That launcher dependency is a decisive drawback for anyone buying specifically because their internet is unreliable.
Recommended Free Tools
- Best for: Accessible track racing, career events, and online PvP.
- Offline verdict: Poor choice for strict offline play because of EA client and account requirements.
- Minimum listed PC: Windows 10/11 64-bit, 8 GB RAM, GTX 950/RX 460, 50 GB.
20. HOT WHEELS UNLEASHED 2 – Turbocharged: best local multiplayer arcade racer
HOT WHEELS UNLEASHED 2 – Turbocharged is the easy recommendation for family play, split-screen racing, toy-car stunts, and accessible arcade handling. It includes a campaign, exaggerated tracks, jumps, shortcuts, and a track-building angle rather than realistic vehicle dynamics.
Steam lists single-player, online PvP, and shared or split-screen PvP. That combination makes it more useful than many modern racers for households that want to play locally without relying on an online server. It is intentionally unrealistic, so simulator fans should look elsewhere.
- Best for: Local multiplayer, younger players, casual racing, and simple controls.
- Offline verdict: Strong offline solo and local split-screen option.
- Minimum listed PC: Windows 10 64-bit+, 8 GB RAM, GTX 1050/RX 460, 30 GB.
21. My Summer Car: best mechanical car-building sandbox
My Summer Car is unlike every conventional racer here. You assemble a car and engine from loose parts, maintain it, drive around rural Finland, and manage demanding life-simulation and survival systems. Forget a polished showroom experience: the fun comes from understanding how the machine works and dealing with the consequences when you make a mistake.
It is deliberately difficult, rough-edged, and single-player only. The game rewards patience, mechanical curiosity, and willingness to consult your own notes or community advice. It is a superb offline choice for the right player and a terrible recommendation for someone who simply wants quick races.

- Offline verdict: Single-player only and well suited to offline play after installation.
- Minimum listed PC: Windows 7/8/10 64-bit, 6 GB RAM, GTX 960-class GPU, 1 GB; high single-core CPU performance is specifically noted.

That does not mean every storefront will launch every title forever without authentication. Steam, EA App, Microsoft Store, cloud saves, DLC ownership checks, anti-cheat, and mandatory updates can change the practical experience. Install the game, launch it successfully while online, apply updates, and test the storefront’s offline mode before depending on it during travel or an outage.
Avoid Forza Horizon 6 if completely internet-free play is essential. Treat GRID Legends, Need for Speed Unbound, F1 25, and EA SPORTS WRC cautiously because their account, launcher, activation, anti-cheat, or update requirements can affect solo play.
Best online multiplayer driving games
- Forza Horizon 6: shared-world driving, convoys, meetups, and varied events.
- Assetto Corsa Competizione: serious GT competition.
- Le Mans Ultimate: ranked and hosted endurance racing through RaceControl.
- CarX Drift Racing Online: drift rooms, tuning, cross-platform play, and community maps.
- Wreckfest: accessible demolition racing.
- GRID Legends: approachable circuit racing.
- F1 25: official Formula 1 competition and career-adjacent online play.
- EA SPORTS WRC: modern rally multiplayer and cross-platform functions.
- SnowRunner: cooperative off-road missions for up to four players.
- Motor Town: co-op jobs, races, and open-world driving activities.
Check whether an online feature is publisher-hosted, ranked, community-hosted, or dependent on another website. DiRT Rally 2.0’s Clubs shutdown shows that a game can remain playable while one online feature disappears.
Best PC driving games for a steering wheel
Wheel recognition is not the same as excellent wheel support. A good wheel experience depends on force feedback, steering-lock configuration, calibration, clutch and shifter support, pedal behavior, and whether the game offers sensible assists for beginners.
Best wheel-focused choices: Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competizione, Automobilista 2, Le Mans Ultimate, F1 25, EA SPORTS WRC, DiRT Rally 2.0, Euro Truck Simulator 2, American Truck Simulator, City Car Driving, and BeamNG.drive.
Best controller-friendly choices: Forza Horizon 6, Need for Speed Unbound, Wreckfest, CarX Drift Racing Online, HOT WHEELS UNLEASHED 2, and Pacific Drive. A realistic simulator is not automatically the best first wheel game; beginners may have a better time learning with Forza, Wreckfest, or GRID Legends before moving to ACC or Automobilista 2.
Best choices for low-end or mid-range PCs
Based on the listed minimum specifications, start with My Summer Car, City Car Driving, Motor Town, Assetto Corsa, CarX Drift Racing Online, Wreckfest, HOT WHEELS UNLEASHED 2, or GRID Legends. DiRT Rally 2.0 can also be accessible in GPU terms, although its 100 GB installation is large.

BeamNG in particular can need more CPU and RAM when traffic, physics objects, or mods are active. Minimum requirements generally describe the lowest playable configuration, not a guaranteed 60 FPS target at 1080p.
What to check before buying
- Confirm the storefront. Steam, EA App, Microsoft Store/Xbox app, Epic, and PC Game Pass can have different launcher and authentication behavior.
- Check the exact edition. F1 25 and its 2026 Season Pack, Forza Horizon 6 editions, WRC bundles, and truck-simulator DLC packages are not interchangeable.
- Read the current requirements. Compare RAM, GPU class and VRAM, Windows version, storage, and whether an SSD is recommended.
- Separate solo from offline. Look for persistent internet, external accounts, anti-cheat, DRM, and first-launch activation language.
- Check service status. Online features can be retired without making the entire game unplayable.
- Decide whether you want racing or driving. Forza and Wreckfest deliver immediate races; ETS2 and Pacific Drive prioritize journeys; City Car Driving prioritizes practice; My Summer Car prioritizes mechanical ownership.
- Choose your control method. A controller is often better for arcade games, while a wheel and pedals substantially improve dedicated simulators and truck games.
Why this list differs from older PC driving-game lists
Older listicles commonly leave Forza Horizon 5 as the newest Horizon recommendation, treat every single-player mode as offline, and mix racing games with truck or survival games without explaining the difference. That approach is no longer adequate for a 2026 buying guide.
This list replaces Horizon 5 with the current Forza Horizon 6, identifies the F1 25 2026 Season Pack instead of inventing a separate F1 26 release, notes BeamNG.drive’s unfinished official multiplayer, and records the DiRT Rally 2.0 Clubs shutdown. It also exposes launcher and account burdens so readers can choose a game that will actually work in their preferred offline or online setup.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Forza Horizon 6 playable offline on PC?
Do not buy it as a true offline game. The Steam listing says a persistent internet connection and Microsoft account are required. It remains the best overall open-world recommendation if you are comfortable being online, but BeamNG.drive, Assetto Corsa, or Wreckfest are safer choices for internet-free solo play.
Is there an F1 26 game for PC in 2026?
There is no separate F1 26 release in the current EA plan. EA released the 2026 FIA Formula One season as the F1 25 2026 Season Pack, launched on June 3, 2026. F1 25 is therefore the current official EA F1 product.
Does BeamNG.drive have official online multiplayer?
Not as of August 10, 2026. BeamNG’s official FAQ and multiplayer announcement described official multiplayer as unavailable or still in development. Offline multiseat play exists, and third-party multiplayer tools should not be confused with an officially supported online mode.
Which PC driving game is best for a weak computer?
Start by comparing your PC with My Summer Car, City Car Driving, Motor Town: Behind The Wheel, Assetto Corsa, CarX Drift Racing Online, Wreckfest, or HOT WHEELS UNLEASHED 2. Minimum specifications are only a baseline and do not guarantee 1080p/60 FPS, especially with traffic, mods, VR, or later updates.
Are Euro Truck Simulator 2, American Truck Simulator, and SnowRunner really car driving games?
They are not conventional car-racing games, but they are driving games in the broader sense. ETS2 and ATS focus on long-distance trucking, deliveries, exploration, and co-op convoys; SnowRunner focuses on off-road hauling and recovery. They are included because many readers searching for PC driving games want vehicle simulation rather than only circuit racing.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteThe Bottom Line
Choose Forza Horizon 6 for the broadest modern open-world experience, but remember that it requires persistent internet and a Microsoft account. Choose BeamNG.drive for offline sandbox physics, Assetto Corsa for affordable offline simulation and mods, Automobilista 2 for broad motorsport, Wreckfest for destruction, SnowRunner for co-op off-road work, or Pacific Drive for a single-player survival road trip.
The most important buying decision is not the ranking: it is whether you need genuinely internet-free play, optional online multiplayer, or a persistent online service. Check the current storefront requirements, account policies, editions, and service status immediately before purchasing.
