Important status note: Fisch’s 2025 Lucky Event was a limited-time St. Patrick’s Day event that ran from March 15 to March 22, 2025. It was later removed, so this is now an archival guide rather than a current walkthrough. The 2026 Shamrock Seas event was separate and did not automatically restore the Lucky Event fish or quest rewards.
The 2025 Fisch Lucky Event is no longer active. It ran from March 15 through March 22, 2025, and was subsequently removed from the game. That means Clover McRich, the temporary Lucky Event pools, the five event fish, the original quest rewards, and the Shamrock Rod should not be assumed to be obtainable in the live game in August 2026.
This page preserves how the St. Patrick’s Day Lucky Event worked while it was available. It is also separate from the 2026 Shamrock Seas event, which used different mechanics, including the Shamrock Express and rainbow events.
How the 2025 Lucky Event quest worked
During the event, Clover McRich asked players to catch five of his brothers, who had been transformed into fish, and place them in his cauldron. The quest began at Moosewood, Fisch’s starter island.

- Speak with Clover to start the quest.
- Catch the five required event fish from the temporary Lucky Event pools.
- Return to Clover and submit the fish. The fish could be turned in individually, so there was no need to wait until all five were in your inventory.
Turning fish in one at a time was useful during the original event because Clover’s reward sequence provided Lucky Bait and other rewards that could help with subsequent catches.
All five Lucky Event fish and their requirements
Each fish was tied to a temporary event pool. The pool’s colored leprechaun hat identified which brother fish was available there. All five fish shared the same broad fishing requirements: Rain weather, Spring season, and any time of day. Lucky Bait was the recommended bait for every target.
| Fish | Pool hat color | Weather | Season | Time | Quest reward |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Blarney McBreeze | Blue | Rain | Spring | Any | 10 Lucky Bait |
| O’Mango Goldgrin | Orange | Rain | Spring | Any | Clover Bobber |
| Sunny O’Coin | Yellow | Rain | Spring | Any | 20 Lucky Bait |
| Rowdy McCharm | Red | Rain | Spring | Any | Lucky Savior title |
| Plumrick O’Luck | Purple | Rain | Spring | Any | Shamrock Rod |
The hat color was the important part when searching. For example, a yellow hat meant the pool contained Sunny O’Coin, while a purple hat meant it contained Plumrick O’Luck. The fish were not ordinary island catches; they were restricted to the temporary Lucky Event pools.
How the Lucky Event pools appeared
When a Lucky Event began, a server message announced it and a rainbow appeared above the temporary fishing area. The pool could spawn at different locations around the map and disappeared after a limited period, so players had to travel to it promptly.

During the event, the pool’s spawn interval was hotfixed from 30 minutes to approximately 10 minutes. Community and guide records reported several possible areas, although the exact location lists vary slightly between sources. Commonly reported areas included:
- East of Moosewood: approximately
565, 130, 792 - South of or in front of Moosewood: approximately
-125, 130, 230 - Near the Statue of Sovereignty and the Arch: approximately
615, 130, -1450 - North of or behind Mushgrove Swamp: approximately
1975, 130, -1460 - East of Ancient Isle: approximately
3640, 130, 295 - Between Ancient Isle and Snowcap Island: community reports also listed additional Snowcap-area possibilities.
These coordinates were useful reference points during the 2025 event, but they were not a substitute for the event notification. Because the pool could appear at a random location, the most reliable method was to watch for the server announcement, look for the visible rainbow, and use a boat to search the reported areas.
Best catching strategy from the original event
- Carry Lucky Bait. It was the event-associated bait and the recommended choice for all five fish. It also provided luck-related bonuses.
- Watch the server messages. A Lucky Event announcement indicated that a temporary pool had appeared.
- Use a boat immediately. The pool could be far from your current island and was only available temporarily.
- Check the hat before fishing. Match the hat color to the fish in the table instead of assuming every pool contained the same target.
- Confirm the conditions. The required combination was Rain and Spring, with no time-of-day restriction.
- Turn fish in as you obtain them. Individual submissions advanced the reward sequence and could provide more bait for later attempts.
The event was partly luck-oriented: reaching the right temporary pool, finding the needed hat color, and fishing under the correct conditions mattered more than visiting a permanent island bestiary location. The pools could also be contested by other players, making a quick response especially valuable.
Reward order and the Shamrock Rod
Clover McRich awarded the rewards according to the order in which the five fish were submitted, not according to a required fish-name order:

- First fish: 10 Lucky Bait
- Second fish: Clover Bobber
- Third fish: 20 Lucky Bait
- Fourth fish: Lucky Savior title
- Fifth fish: Shamrock Rod
The Shamrock Rod was therefore the final quest reward. Contemporary event-era records listed these approximate stats:
- Lure Speed: 25%
- Luck: 150%
- Control: 0.15
- Resilience: 10%
- Maximum weight: 5,000 kg
- Special effect: a chance to produce a Clover-mutated fish worth 4.5 times its normal value
Those are historical 2025 event-era figures, not a guarantee of current live-game stats. Since the event was removed, players should not treat the rod as currently obtainable unless Fisch brings the quest back in a future update.
When the Lucky Event ran and why old guides can be misleading
The Lucky Event was associated with Fisch version 1.22.0 and began on March 15, 2025. Its scheduled end date was March 22, 2025. Version 1.23.0 was recorded on March 22, and the Lucky Event was removed at that point. During its short run, a hotfix reduced pool spawns to roughly 10-minute intervals.
As a result, guides that say to “find Clover McRich” or “wait for the Lucky Event pool” describe the 2025 version of Fisch. They are useful for archival information, but they are not current instructions for obtaining the fish or Shamrock Rod in August 2026.

2025 Lucky Event vs. 2026 Shamrock Seas
| Feature | 2025 Lucky Event | 2026 Shamrock Seas |
|---|---|---|
| Status in August 2026 | Removed | Separate St. Patrick’s-themed event |
| Main quest NPC | Clover McRich | Different event structure |
| Fishing mechanic | Temporary rainbow-marked pools with colored hats | Included mechanics such as the Shamrock Express and rainbow events |
| Bestiary | Five Lucky Event fish listed in this guide | Different limited event bestiary |
| Final reward discussed here | Shamrock Rod | Not automatically part of the 2025 quest |
Do not use a Shamrock Seas guide as if it were a continuation of the Lucky Event quest. The names and St. Patrick’s theme overlap, but the events used different content and mechanics.
Can you still catch the five Lucky Event fish?
Not through the original event method. The 2025 Lucky Event was removed, along with its temporary pools and quest structure. There is no basis for claiming that Clover McRich, the five fish, Lucky Bait rewards, the Lucky Savior title, or the Shamrock Rod are currently obtainable unless an official future update confirms a rerun or another acquisition method.
If you are reading an old guide that presents the quest in the present tense, check its publication date. It may accurately describe the March 2025 event while still being outdated for the current game.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you still complete the Fisch Lucky Event?
No. The 2025 Lucky Event was removed after its scheduled March 22, 2025 end date. Clover McRich, the temporary pools, the five event fish, and the original quest rewards should not be assumed to be available unless Fisch announces a future rerun.

What were the requirements for the Lucky Event fish?
All five used Rain weather and Spring season, with no time-of-day restriction. Lucky Bait was the recommended bait. The colored hat above the temporary pool identified the fish available there.
What was the final Lucky Event reward?
The rewards were awarded for the first through fifth submitted fish: 10 Lucky Bait, Clover Bobber, 20 Lucky Bait, Lucky Savior title, and finally the Shamrock Rod.
Is Shamrock Seas the same as the 2025 Lucky Event?
No. Shamrock Seas was a separate 2026 St. Patrick’s-themed event with different mechanics, including the Shamrock Express, rainbow events, and a different limited bestiary.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: The Fisch Lucky Event was a limited-time March 2025 quest, not a permanent fishing activity. Its five fish all required Rain and Spring in temporary rainbow pools, with the pool’s hat color identifying the target. Submitting all five earned the Shamrock Rod last, but the event and its original rewards were removed after March 22, 2025. The 2026 Shamrock Seas event was separate and should not be used as evidence that the Lucky Event content returned.
