Use the Chapel’s Roman numerals to identify the order, then interact with Draxus’s scythe in the area beyond the opened passage. The Tomb also contains two candle secrets, a Mora Jai Box with the code 5-5-5-2-2-4, and a separate eight-figure sequence reserved for late-game progress.
How to reach the Tomb
The Tomb is an Outer Room, not a normal manor room. First unlock the Garage Door, then use the West Gate Path to access the Outer Room drafting pool outside the manor. The Tomb is classified as a Dead End/Blackprint Outer Room, so it may be difficult to draw early in a run because of the game’s drafting behavior. A failed early attempt to find it is not necessarily a progression bug.
First Tomb solution: the seven angel statues
The primary Tomb puzzle uses seven angel statues. The Chapel provides the clue: its stained-glass windows depict the same figures and mark them with Roman numerals I through VII. Interact with the statues in that numbered order, using their held tools to identify them:

| 2 | Cook/Baker | Joya | Pizza paddle or pizza peel | Chef’s hat |
| 3 | Farmer | Dauja | Pitchfork | Rancher or farmer hat |
| 4 | Chimney sweep | Veia | Feather duster | Top hat |
| 5 | Maid | Mila | Broom | Maid’s headband or bonnet |
| 6 | Jockey/Equestrian | Lydia | Riding crop | Jockey’s hat or riding helmet |
| 7 | King/Queen | Orinda | Scepter | Crown |
In short, the first sequence is: Rynna, Joya, Dauja, Veia, Mila, Lydia, Orinda.
#1 Best Overall
The tools are generally easier to recognize than the names, so match each statue by its object if you are unsure. The statues’ arms and tools change position as you interact with them. Follow the Chapel’s I–VII order, not the statues’ physical positions around the Tomb.
What the seven-statue solution opens
When the sequence is correct, a wall moves and reveals a lower passage leading toward the Catacombs. This is the Tomb’s first major progression reward.
Draxus and the concealed Underground route
Continue into the newly opened area until you reach the death angel Draxus. Interact with Draxus’s scythe. That action opens the next concealed wall and gives you access to the Underground route.
Different guides may call the destination the Basement, while other descriptions refer to the Catacombs and then the Underground. The important distinction is the sequence: the seven statues open the first passage, and Draxus’s scythe opens the subsequent concealed exit.
Tomb secrets: the two candle chambers
The Tomb also has two independent candle puzzles. They are not part of the seven-statue solution. Bring an ignition tool, such as the Torch, and light both ruby-socketed candles in either pair. Each pair opens its associated hidden wall permanently.
Rank #2
Near candle pair: Upgrade Disk and dice
The first pair is immediately to the left after entering the main chamber. Light both candles to open a hidden room containing a stone table, an Upgrade Disk, and dice.
- On the first visit, the room provides two pairs of dice.
- On later visits, it may provide only one pair.
- The Upgrade Disk returns only if you have not already used it.
Far candle pair: Clara Epsen’s chamber
The second pair is at the far end of the main chamber, near Clara Epsen’s resting place. Light both candles to reveal Clara’s area. You can find a Diary Key partially hidden behind the portrait and an Erajan note on a table.
If a candle wall does not open, check that you lit both candles belonging to the same pair. Lighting one candle from the near pair and one from the far pair does not complete either secret.
Tomb Mora Jai Box solution
A Mora Jai Box appears in the Tomb after its access conditions are met, including lighting the candle pairs with an ignition tool. Its documented telephone-keypad solution is:
5, 5, 5, 2, 2, 4
For the box’s grid, that six-press sequence corresponds to:
Rank #3
- Press the center grid tile three times.
- Press the top-center grid tile twice.
- Press the center-left grid tile once.
- Press each of the four symbol or corner tiles to lock in the result.
The six numbered inputs are the minimum sequence before the final corner/symbol inputs. Completing the box awards an Allowance Token. The Tomb Mora Jai Box does not respawn after it has been solved, so do not expect to find a replacement box on a later visit.
Endgame solution: the later natural-order statue sequence
Late-game spoiler: This is a separate revisit puzzle, not the solution for opening the Catacombs.
After substantial late-game progress, later clues—including Herbert Sinclair’s will—reveal another order for the relevant angel and death figures. Use this sequence only after completing the initial Chapel-based solution and obtaining the later clues:
- Orinda
- Lydia
- Rynna
- Joya
- Dauja
- Veia
- Mila
- Draxus
In other words, the late-game order is Orinda, Lydia, Rynna, Joya, Dauja, Veia, Mila, Draxus. Completing it opens a room behind Draxus containing original manuscripts associated with The Red Prince and A New Clue.
Do not substitute this eight-figure sequence for the Chapel’s seven-figure order. The first Tomb visit requires the I–VII statue sequence ending with Orinda; the later natural-order sequence includes Draxus and is intended for a return visit.

Common Tomb progression problems
The Tomb is not appearing in the drafting pool
Confirm that the Garage Door is unlocked and that you are drafting from the Outer Room pool reached through the West Gate Path. Because the Tomb is a Dead End/Blackprint Outer Room, its appearance can be inconsistent early in a run.
The statue sequence is not working
Use the Chapel’s Roman numerals rather than the statues’ positions. The correct first-run order is the held-tool sequence: hoe, pizza paddle, pitchfork, feather duster, broom, riding crop, then scepter. The seven statues are Rynna, Joya, Dauja, Veia, Mila, Lydia, and Orinda.
The first passage opened, but the route beyond it is still blocked
Find Draxus in the next area and interact with the scythe. The statue puzzle and Draxus interaction are two separate steps.
The candle wall will not open
Use an ignition tool and light both ruby-socketed candles in one pair. The near and far pairs each control a different wall, and the candle secrets are independent of the angel-statue order.
The natural-order sequence does nothing
That sequence is a late-game revisit clue, not an alternate first solution. Finish the Chapel sequence first, then return after the later clues, including Herbert Sinclair’s will, have become available.

Do not confuse the Tomb with the Clock Tower
The Clock Tower’s eight-clock puzzle and the separate sacred-hour puzzle are not Tomb-room puzzles. They are sometimes grouped with Tomb and Underground guides because of their broader progression context, but they do not change any Tomb solution.
For reference, the independently documented Clock Tower solution begins by entering at 1:30. The hidden-room clocks are then set from left to right to 5:00, 5:08, 5:57, 6:00, 7:00, 8:00, 8:05, and 9:00. Those inputs belong to the Clock Tower, not to the Tomb’s statues, candles, or Mora Jai Box.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the correct first statue order in the Blue Prince Tomb?
The first Tomb statue order is Rynna, Joya, Dauja, Veia, Mila, Lydia, and Orinda. Match them by their held tools—hoe, pizza paddle, pitchfork, feather duster, broom, riding crop, and scepter—and follow the Chapel’s Roman numerals rather than the statues’ room positions.

What is the Tomb Mora Jai Box solution in Blue Prince?
The Tomb Mora Jai Box code is 5-5-5-2-2-4. On the grid, press the center tile three times, the top-center tile twice, and the center-left tile once, then press all four corner/symbol tiles to confirm.
Is the natural-order statue sequence the same as the first Tomb solution?
No. The seven-statue Chapel order opens the first passage to the Catacombs. The eight-figure natural-order sequence—Orinda, Lydia, Rynna, Joya, Dauja, Veia, Mila, Draxus—is a later revisit puzzle unlocked through late-game clues such as Herbert Sinclair’s will.
The Bottom Line
First visit: use the Chapel order—Rynna, Joya, Dauja, Veia, Mila, Lydia, Orinda—then interact with Draxus’s scythe. For the optional Tomb secrets, light both candle pairs and enter 5-5-5-2-2-4 in the Mora Jai Box. Save the eight-figure Orinda-to-Draxus order for the late-game revisit.
