The expected entry windows were April 8–13, April 17–22, and April 26–May 1, with results periods on April 13–17 and April 22–26. Because these dates are reconstructed rather than taken from a preserved Square Enix month-by-month calendar, verify the live or archived timing through the Lodestone and the in-game placard—especially around Patch 7.5 maintenance on April 27–28.
The April 2026 FFXIV housing lottery schedule was reconstructed from the standard five-day entry and four-day results cycle. The expected windows are:
| Period | Dates | What you can do |
|---|---|---|
| Entry period | April 8–13, 2026 | Enter the lottery for one eligible plot and receive a lottery number. |
| Results period | April 13–17, 2026 | Check the winning number, complete a winning purchase, or claim a refund. |
| Entry period | April 17–22, 2026 | Enter the next housing lottery. |
| Results period | April 22–26, 2026 | Check results and finalize a winning purchase. |
| Entry period | April 26–May 1, 2026 | Enter the cycle that continues into May. |
Important: these dates are a calendar reconstruction, not a month-by-month historical schedule published by Square Enix. The official housing guidance establishes the recurring five-day entry and four-day results pattern. Maintenance, emergency maintenance, or a later Lodestone announcement can affect when a cycle is practically available.
How the FFXIV housing lottery schedule works
Each housing lottery cycle has two parts:
- Entry period: players submit a bid at the placard for an available plot. The entry period lasts five days.
- Results period: the game selects a winning lottery number. Players have four days to check the result and complete the purchase or collect the entry refund.
The schedule is shared across residential districts and Worlds. The cycle does not use a separate calendar for each housing area, although the plots available and the eligible buyer type can differ by World, ward, and plot.

April 2026 dates at a glance
April 8–13: first reconstructed entry period
During this window, players could submit one lottery entry for an eligible plot. The bid was made at the plot’s placard, where the game displayed the plot price and lottery terms before payment.
April 13–17: first reconstructed results period
After the entry window closed, players could return to the same plot’s placard to view the winning number. A winning player needed to accept the plot and finalize the purchase before this results period ended. A player who did not win could claim the entry refund.
April 17–22: second reconstructed entry period
This was the expected entry window for the next cycle. A player could bid on only one plot during the cycle, so a bid made during an earlier cycle did not create an additional entry for this one.
April 22–26: second reconstructed results period
Players could check the result at the relevant placard and complete the purchase if their number won. The refund option was available to losing entrants during the applicable results period.
April 26–May 1: final April entry window
This cycle began in April and continued into May. Its start was especially important to verify in-game because scheduled Patch 7.5 maintenance was set for April 27–28, 2026. Players should check the Lodestone and the placard rather than assume uninterrupted access immediately after the cycle opens.

When does the housing lottery reset?
North American schedule reporting generally places the rollover at approximately 7:59 a.m. Pacific Time. The exact practical timing can depend on the published schedule and maintenance status, so players should treat the in-game placard and current Lodestone notices as the final authority.
The five-day and four-day labels also create a boundary where one period ends as the next begins. If you are trying to enter or claim a plot close to the rollover, do not wait until the final minute: visit the placard earlier and allow time for maintenance, connection problems, or a schedule adjustment.
How to enter the April 2026 housing lottery
- Go to an available plot during an entry period.
- Interact with the plot’s placard.
- Review the plot price and confirm whether the plot accepts private buyers, Free Companies, or both.
- Select the applicable buyer type when the placard presents that choice.
- Pay the plot price to submit the entry.
- Keep the lottery number and return to the placard during the results period.
A player may enter only one plot per lottery cycle. The entry is not a way to reserve several plots at once, and eligibility is determined by the plot’s classification and the character or Free Company meeting the applicable housing requirements.

During the results period, the most direct way to see the winning number and resolve the bid is to return to the plot’s placard. If you won, follow the placard prompts to accept the plot and complete the purchase before the results period expires.
What happens if you win?
A winning player must finalize the purchase during the four-day results period. Winning the lottery does not mean the plot remains available indefinitely. If the winner fails to accept and complete the purchase before the period ends, the opportunity can be lost.

For an April cycle, the practical deadline was therefore the end of the relevant results window—expected around April 17 or April 26 for the first two reconstructed cycles. Verify the exact in-game deadline rather than relying only on a calendar estimate.
What happens if you lose?
A losing entrant can return to the plot’s placard during the results period and claim the entry refund. The official housing guidance states that an unclaimed refund expires 90 real-world days after the results period ends.
Do not confuse the refund deadline with the purchase deadline. A winner has to complete the purchase during the four-day results period; a losing player has substantially longer to collect the refund, but should still claim it promptly.

Private plots versus Free Company plots
Not every plot is open to every buyer. Depending on its ward classification, a plot may be designated for:

Eligible buyer types and ward classifications can differ by World and may change with later patches. Consequently, the April schedule tells you when to enter, but it does not guarantee that a particular plot is available to an individual character or to a Free Company.
Check the placard’s buyer-type designation and make sure the intended purchaser meets the applicable requirements before paying the entry amount.

Why the April 2026 dates are called reconstructed
Square Enix’s official housing documentation confirms the rules of the system—a five-day entry period followed by a four-day results period and a shared schedule across Worlds—but it does not provide a preserved, month-by-month historical calendar for April 2026 in the material used for this schedule.
The dates above were therefore calculated from the documented cadence and presented as the most defensible April sequence, not as a directly archived Square Enix announcement. This distinction matters because maintenance or emergency maintenance can change when players can actually access a placard, even if the normal lottery rhythm remains the same.
For the final April cycle, the scheduled April 27–28 Patch 7.5 maintenance fell immediately after the reconstructed April 26 entry-period start. Anyone entering that cycle should check current Lodestone maintenance notices and the in-game Housing Lottery Status menu.

- If you win, complete the purchase before the four-day results period ends.
- If you lose, claim the refund; unclaimed refunds expire 90 real-world days after the results period ends.
