Roblox Credit is spent through Roblox’s web purchase flow, most commonly by converting it to Robux. Sign in to the correct account in a browser, check the balance below the Redeem button or in Billing Settings, then choose Get Robux. Be careful when buying cards: Amazon and Party Packs gift cards may redeem directly for Robux rather than creating Roblox Credit.
What Roblox Credit is—and what it is not
Roblox Credit is a dollar-denominated balance attached to your Roblox account. It usually comes from redeeming an eligible Roblox gift card. A $100 card that is redeemable for Credit adds $100 of account value; it does not automatically give you 100 Robux.
Roblox Credit and Robux are different:
- Roblox Credit: monetary account balance used through Roblox’s purchase flow for eligible Roblox products and services.
- Robux: Roblox’s virtual currency, used for avatar items, in-experience purchases, and other virtual content.
The card’s labeling matters. Some Roblox gift cards add Credit, while specially marked cards redeem directly for Robux. Amazon Gift Cards and Party Packs Gift Cards are specifically identified by Roblox as Robux-only products, so do not assume that every product called a “Roblox gift card” creates Credit.
If you need to add account value, start with an official Roblox gift card or a card from an authorized retailer, and check the current product description carefully before buying. Roblox warns that cards from unauthorized sellers, auction sites, resellers, or other unauthorized distributors may not be honored.
How to check your Roblox Credit balance
Use a web browser—not the regular Roblox mobile app or a console—to check and use gift-card Credit.
- Sign in to the Roblox account where the card was redeemed.
- Open the official Roblox gift-card redemption page.
- Look below the Redeem button for your Credit balance.
You can also check the balance beside the Roblox Credit line in Billing Settings. The balance is not displayed on every Roblox account page, so looking at your Robux total or profile page will not necessarily show it.

Samsung Galaxy users may have a specific in-app redemption option. For most other mobile users, the reliable route is the browser-based redemption page. Mobile-app and console redemption are otherwise unavailable for this Credit workflow.
Spend Roblox Credit on Robux
The most common use for Credit is converting it into Robux.

- Sign in to the correct Roblox account in a browser.
- Open the redemption page and select Get Robux, or go to the Roblox Robux purchase page.
- Choose the Robux package you want and complete the purchase using your Credit.
Roblox generally preselects the largest Robux package that your available balance can afford. If you want a different package, use the Robux purchase page rather than accepting the preselected option.
Robux package prices, available packages, and applicable taxes can change. In the United States, sales tax may apply depending on your state, so the balance required at checkout may be higher than the displayed package price.

What happens to a small leftover balance?
Suppose your Credit is not enough for another complete Robux package after a purchase. Return to the gift-card redemption page and look for Get Robux or Convert Credit to Robux.
- Selecting the conversion or purchase action converts the remaining eligible Credit into Robux.
- Selecting Cancel leaves the remaining Credit in your account for later.
This is useful when you want to clear a small balance, but it is not reversible in the ordinary purchase flow: once the remaining Credit is converted, it becomes Robux rather than staying as account Credit.

Can Roblox Credit pay for subscriptions?
Sometimes, but not universally. Roblox currently documents Credit as a payment method for certain local-currency subscriptions within Experiences when purchased on a desktop computer or through a web browser. These subscriptions may be priced in either Robux or local currency.
For an eligible local-currency subscription purchased on desktop or the web, Roblox lists credit/debit cards and Roblox Credit as possible payment methods. Mobile purchases use payment methods connected to Apple or Google accounts instead. Availability depends on the subscription, platform, and country.

Do not treat Roblox Credit as an automatic payment method for every Roblox subscription. Roblox’s subscription rules are product- and platform-specific. Also check the date of any article or guide discussing Premium: Roblox says the former Roblox Premium membership is no longer available for purchase as of April 30, 2026. Existing documentation or search results about Premium should not be used as proof that a new Premium subscription can be bought with Credit.
The most important checkout restriction: Credit cannot be split
Roblox does not let you combine Credit with a second payment method for one purchase. If your Credit balance does not cover the entire purchase, Roblox will ask you to select another payment method instead.

You must either choose a cheaper eligible purchase, convert the balance where Roblox offers that option, or use another payment method for a separate purchase.
Plan around the full balance rather than assuming that a partial balance works like a store coupon.

Card type and country warnings
Amazon and Party Packs cards may be Robux-only
Roblox explicitly calls out Amazon Gift Cards and Party Packs Gift Cards as redeemable for Robux only, not Roblox Credit. Roblox’s U.S. retailer information also warns that digital Roblox gift cards purchased from Amazon grant Robux only and cannot be used toward a Premium subscription.
That does not mean every physical or digital listing is identical. Read the exact current listing and packaging. If the goal is to create Roblox Credit, do not buy a card merely because its title says “Roblox gift card.” Look for wording that clearly identifies it as redeemable for Credit, and prefer Roblox or an authorized retailer.

Redeeming cards from another country
Roblox says gift-card codes can be redeemed worldwide, with the value converted into the account’s local currency. The U.S. terms describe a conversion process for non-U.S.-dollar cards redeemed into a U.S.-dollar account.
However, the availability of cards, payment methods, subscriptions, and services varies by country. A card being redeemable does not guarantee that every Roblox purchase or subscription will be available in your region. Confirm the currency and product restrictions before buying a card for someone in another country.

Expiration, refunds, transfers, and lost cards
Under Roblox’s current U.S. terms:
- Gift-card Credit does not expire.
- There are no inactivity, maintenance, or service fees.
- Credit has no cash value.
- Credit is not transferable between accounts.
- Credit is generally not refundable or redeemable for cash, except where required by law.
- Gift cards themselves are not reloadable and must be redeemed in full.
Do not redeem a card on the wrong account expecting to move the balance later. Roblox also says it is not responsible for lost, damaged, stolen, or unauthorizedly used cards. Protect both the card code and the Roblox account that receives the Credit.
A practical way to manage your balance
- Identify the card type before redemption. Determine whether it creates Credit or gives Robux directly.
- Redeem on the intended account. Check the username before submitting the code.
- Check the balance in a browser. Use the redemption page or Billing Settings.
- Reserve enough for a complete purchase. Credit cannot normally be combined with a second payment method.
- Choose the Robux package deliberately. The redemption page may default to the largest affordable package, but another package may suit your balance better.
- Decide what to do with leftovers. Keep a residual Credit balance by selecting Cancel, or use Get Robux/Convert Credit to Robux if you prefer to convert it.
- Keep the account secure. Never share the unused code, password, or verification details.
