The Fallout Pip-Boy 3000 Mk V featured in the IGN Store headline is The Wand Company’s officially licensed, wearable replica of the Pip-Boy seen in the Fallout television series. IGN promoted it as a pre-order on April 11, 2024. That historical promotion should not be mistaken for proof that the IGN Store is still accepting orders, or that the replica is currently in stock.
The Wand Company describes the Mk V as a 1:1 facsimile developed from the television prop’s CAD geometry. It is a premium display collectible with working electronics—not a toy and not a real-world utility computer.
What the Fallout Pip-Boy 3000 Mk V is
This is the Pip-Boy 3000 Mk V design created for the Fallout TV series, manufactured by The Wand Company. The model is separate from the later Pip-Boy 3000 replica based on Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. The two products share similar naming, but they are different replicas.
#1 Best Overall
- Useful accessory functions: FM radio with added extension antenna cable, ready to tune in to your favourite station, 3.5 mm headphone socket, alarm clock and bright LED torch.
- A faithful replica: Die-cast front metal casing coated with a silk finish green paint with silver-coloured detailing, developed using the in-game geometry and additional details from the original high-poly model.
- Massive content library: Scroll, explore, personalise, customise and dynamically interact with the hundreds of inventory menu entries taken directly from Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas.
- Play minigames: For the very first time play the Atomic Command and Reign of Grelok minigames on your Pip-Boy for real.
- Exhibition display grade: The elegant stand with its solid aluminium machined metal base, displays the Pip-Boy perfectly and also allows it to be used as an awesome desk or nightstand clock.
The Mk V is designed for two uses: wearing on the arm or placing on its included display stand. Its screen, animations, radio, clock, alarm, lighting and weathered finish are intended to recreate the look and feel of the television prop. The evidence does not support describing it as a functional navigation computer, medical device or Geiger counter.
Construction and included display stand
The housing combines die-cast zinc with engineering-grade ABS plastic and has a hand-distressed silver finish. The weathering is part of the collectible’s design, giving the casing the worn, in-universe appearance associated with Fallout props.
- Display: 3.5-inch, 320-by-480 monochrome TFT LCD
- Screen protection: clear Tritan screen
- Audio: built-in 2-watt speaker
- Radio: FM-radio capability
- Cuff: fabric-coated polyurethane foam lining
- Stand: machined aluminum plate, ABS docking arm and EVA base layer
The stand matters because this is a substantial prop intended to be displayed as well as worn. The manufacturer’s emphasis is on materials, finish and presentation, so “wearable collectible” or “prop replica” is more accurate than simply calling it a Fallout toy.
What it can actually do
The Pip-Boy has a working monochrome display with in-universe animations, along with several practical electronics features:

- Works as a timepiece.
- Includes an alarm-clock function.
- Can be worn on the arm or docked on the supplied stand.
These features provide a convincing prop experience, but they should not be confused with the fictional abilities of a Pip-Boy in the games. This replica is not documented as having navigation, health monitoring, inventory management, radiation detection or other genuine Fallout-style field functions.
Battery life and charging
The manual specifies approximately eight hours of screen time on a full charge. Using the radio reduces the stated runtime to approximately four hours. When powered down and not charging, the device can remain in hibernation for around six months before its battery is depleted.
Charging uses the included USB-C cable and a 5V-powered USB socket. The manual recommends charging the Pip-Boy while it is placed on its stand. The available research does not establish a particular wall adapter, charging speed or long-term battery-replacement process, so buyers should consult the supplied manual rather than assume phone-like fast charging or user-replaceable batteries.
Was the IGN Store pre-order still available?
That cannot be confirmed from the available evidence. The IGN Store page was blocked during research, so its current listing, price, inventory, pre-order status and delivery estimate were not independently verified.

The original IGN Store promotion dates to April 11, 2024. The Wand Company later identified the IGN Store as one of its United States retail partners while stock was available, alongside Amazon, Big Bad Toy Store and Sideshow. That retailer information confirms the authorized sales route existed; it does not prove that the Mk V remains available today.
Captured retailer pages also show why buyers should check the exact listing before ordering. One retailer page identified the correct television-series replica but showed it out of stock, while a BigBadToyStore capture marked its listing sold out. Those snapshots demonstrate commercial distribution, not current inventory.
What to verify before placing an order
- Confirm that the listing says Fallout Pip-Boy 3000 Mk V and identifies the television-series design.
- Check whether the page says in stock, sold out, pre-order or discontinued.
- Verify the displayed price, estimated dispatch date and delivery region.
- Check the seller and return policy, particularly on marketplace listings.
- Make sure the product is not the separate Fallout 3/Fallout: New Vegas Pip-Boy replica.
The manufacturer lists Amazon as a United States retail partner, but a current exact-model Amazon listing, ASIN, price and stock status were not confirmed in this research. If checking Amazon, search for the exact Fallout Pip-Boy 3000 Mk V replica rather than relying on a generic Pip-Boy search, which may return the later game-based model or unrelated merchandise.
How the Mk V compares with the later Fallout Pip-Boy
The Wand Company’s 2025 announcement concerned a different Pip-Boy 3000 replica based on Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. That product was announced for IGN Store availability beginning November 17, but it should not be substituted for the television-series Mk V in this article or in a purchase search.

Who should buy it?
The Mk V makes the most sense for collectors, Fallout fans, cosplay displays and owners who want a substantial prop with an operational screen and radio. The included stand also makes it suitable for a desk, shelf or display cabinet when it is not being worn.

It is a weaker choice for anyone expecting a game-accurate wearable computer with useful outdoor features. The replica’s value is in its licensed design, physical construction, weathering, animations and presentation—not in providing modern navigation, communications or diagnostic tools.

The Fallout Pip-Boy 3000 Mk V at IGN Store was a genuine April 2024 pre-order promotion for The Wand Company’s officially licensed replica of the Fallout TV-series prop. It features a metal-and-ABS housing, a working monochrome TFT display, animations, FM radio, clock and alarm, plus a display stand.
However, the old headline is not a current-stock guarantee. IGN’s live listing, price and order status were not verifiable, and captured pages from other retailers showed the replica unavailable or sold out. Treat any present-day purchase page as a fresh listing to verify—not as an automatically open pre-order.
