No—not as a new August 2026 addition. NVIDIA’s own materials indicate that Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is already supported on GeForce NOW. It is not listed among NVIDIA’s announced August additions, but that does not mean it cannot be played through the service.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is already supported
NVIDIA’s January 2026 GeForce NOW announcement specifically referenced streaming Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and discussed new flight-control support for simulation games. NVIDIA’s Microsoft and Xbox games support page also lists the 2024 simulator among supported titles.
That makes the accurate answer more specific than simply saying the game is “coming”: Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is identified by NVIDIA as playable on GeForce NOW, rather than being a newly announced August arrival.
What NVIDIA announced for August 2026
NVIDIA’s August 2026 GeForce NOW games announcement, published on August 6, lists the games added or scheduled for the month. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 does not appear in that list.

Because the current date is August 18, 2026, “this month” means August 1–31. The omission supports two conclusions:
- New August addition: No, it has not been announced as one.
- Playable through GeForce NOW: NVIDIA’s earlier materials indicate yes.
The monthly post is an additions announcement, not a complete real-time catalog. Its omission does not prove that the game is unavailable.
Which Microsoft Flight Simulator is this?
The relevant title is Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, the standalone sequel to Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020). Microsoft says the newer game launched on November 19, 2024, for Windows PC, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
Search for the full name—Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024—rather than only “Microsoft Flight Simulator.” The catalog result may also be organized by a particular storefront, so check the store label shown by GeForce NOW.

How to play it on GeForce NOW
- Open NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW games catalog.
- Search for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
- Check whether the result supports the Steam or Microsoft/Xbox version you own.
- Sign in to GeForce NOW and connect the matching Steam or Xbox/Microsoft account.
- Confirm that you own the compatible PC edition or have a supported PC Game Pass entitlement.
- Launch the game from your connected library.
NVIDIA’s How to Play guide explains the general process: GeForce NOW connects to supported PC game libraries and subscriptions, then streams eligible games to your device.
Do you need to buy the game again?
That depends on the version and account you use. GeForce NOW is generally a streaming service for supported games you already own or can access through a supported subscription; it is not automatically a replacement for buying a game.
Steam
If you own the compatible Steam edition, connect the Steam account containing the game and select the Steam listing when available.
Microsoft Store or PC Game Pass
You may instead use the Microsoft/Xbox PC version or a supported PC Game Pass entitlement. Verify that the exact version appears for your account and region.

Xbox console ownership
Do not assume that owning the Xbox console version automatically grants every PC launch path on GeForce NOW. Check the entitlement attached to your Microsoft account.
Microsoft also lists Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 on Xbox Cloud Gaming. That is a separate service from GeForce NOW: Xbox Cloud Gaming streams through Microsoft’s ecosystem, while GeForce NOW generally connects supported PC storefronts or subscriptions.
What if the game does not appear?
A missing search result or unavailable launch option does not necessarily mean NVIDIA removed the game. Check these possibilities:
- Search for the complete 2024 title instead of the shorter franchise name.
- Confirm that the correct Steam or Microsoft/Xbox account is connected.
- Verify that your entitlement is for PC, not only an Xbox console purchase.
- Check the storefront shown in the catalog and whether it is supported in your country.
- Look at the game’s detail page for patching or maintenance information.
- Try again later if NVIDIA temporarily takes the game offline for an update.
NVIDIA says game detail pages can display maintenance information and estimated patch-completion timing when a title is temporarily unavailable. Catalog visibility can also vary by country, edition and account.

Flight controls and GeForce NOW performance
A flight simulator is more demanding to control than a typical game streamed with a standard controller. NVIDIA documents support for flight-simulation controls and lists peripherals including Xbox controllers and the Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas 4 in its system requirements. NVIDIA’s January announcement also refers to broader Thrustmaster and Logitech flight-control support.
That does not guarantee identical compatibility for every HOTAS, yoke, rudder-pedal set, browser, operating system or device. Confirm support for your specific setup before buying hardware. A flight stick can improve control, but it cannot remove network latency.
GeForce NOW’s experience depends on your connection, distance from NVIDIA’s data center, client device and input equipment. NVIDIA says premium memberships offer benefits such as higher resolutions, faster frame rates, longer sessions and additional features. Its system requirements page identifies Premium as necessary for features including RTX, HDR, Cloud G-SYNC and higher-resolution or high-frame-rate modes.
You do not necessarily need the highest membership tier just to launch the simulator. A lower tier may be enough to test it, while a premium tier can make more sense for users with a high-resolution display or demanding visual settings. Exact membership prices should be checked on NVIDIA’s current membership page.

Bottom line
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is not a newly announced August 2026 addition to GeForce NOW. NVIDIA’s January announcement and support documentation indicate that it was already supported, while the August games list does not include it as a new monthly arrival. Search the live GeForce NOW catalog, select the correct storefront, and verify your Steam or Microsoft/Xbox PC entitlement before troubleshooting further.
