The Keychron Black Myth Wukong Wireless Mechanical Keyboard is a complete wireless 75% keyboard, not just a themed keycap set. It combines *Black Myth: Wukong*-inspired design with TTC switches, hot-swap sockets, QMK programmability, per-key RGB, and USB-C, 2.4GHz, and Bluetooth connectivity. The reason to pay extra is its distinctive game-themed styling and Deluxe collectibles—not a different performance tier.
Price and availability depend on the configuration
Keychron’s U.S. product page listed the selected Deluxe Edition with TTC Bluish White switches at $259.99 when checked on August 18, 2026; that configuration was marked backordered. The collaboration collection listed the keyboard from $229.99. Those figures refer to different configurations, and prices and stock can change. Check the edition and switch selectors on Keychron’s product page before ordering. Keychron also says discount codes cannot be used for this product.
The model is listed as SKU WKD-20 and appears in Keychron’s limited-edition collaboration collection. “Limited edition” does not establish a specific production quantity: Keychron describes special batches and says future availability depends on inventory and possible future production runs, but the official information cited here does not verify a total number made.

Both editions share the Wukong-themed keyboard design and its core hardware. The standard version has a knob Keychron calls the “Destined One’s Eye.” The Deluxe adds a solid-brass Ebongold Spaulder keycap and a resin, gourd-shaped functional knob. Keychron also lists a Deluxe Alternate version; its product information says it has the same configuration and performance as the Deluxe. Treat the version and switch as separate choices, and confirm both in the selector before checkout.

The themed keycaps use a game-inspired font, Cherry profile, PBT plastic, and dye-sublimated legends. Keychron describes some keycaps as gold-painted and includes a jade-colored gourd keycap; gold paint should not be confused with the solid-brass Deluxe Spaulder piece. The keycaps are not shine-through, so RGB is mainly an ambient effect rather than illumination passing through the legends.
What a 75% keyboard keeps—and leaves out
A 75% layout retains the main typing keys, function row, arrow keys, and a compact navigation cluster, but omits the dedicated number pad. It takes up less desk width than a full-size board and leaves more room for a mouse, while keeping more frequently used keys within reach than many smaller layouts. The trade-off is a tighter arrangement and fewer dedicated keys than a full-size or traditional tenkeyless keyboard. “75%” describes the layout category, not a performance rating. TTC switches and hot-swapping
The factory switch options are TTC Bluish White and TTC Golden Pink, both described by Keychron as pre-lubed. Keychron positions Bluish White as the lighter, balanced option with rapid actuation, and Golden Pink as softer-feeling with stronger rebound. Those are the manufacturer’s descriptions, not independent measurements; the cited product details do not establish exact force, travel, sound, or lifespan.
The board is hot-swappable, so you can replace compatible switches without soldering. Keychron specifies support for most 3-pin and 5-pin MX-style switches, including examples from Cherry, Gateron, Kailh, and Panda. “Most” is important: low-profile, optical, magnetic, proprietary, or otherwise non-MX switches may not fit. Check a replacement switch’s pin layout and compatibility rather than assuming every mechanical switch will work.

Three connection modes, but 1,000Hz is not a Bluetooth claim
- USB-C wired: the direct connection and the mode Keychron specifies for configuring the board in Launcher.
- 2.4GHz wireless: a low-latency option for gaming; Keychron lists 1,000Hz polling in this mode.
- Bluetooth 5.2: supports pairing with up to three devices, useful for moving between a computer, tablet, or phone.
Keychron specifies 1,000Hz polling for wired and 2.4GHz modes; its claim should not be extended to Bluetooth. For competitive play, use wired or 2.4GHz rather than treating Bluetooth as equivalent. Keep the cable and receiver available, and check the current package details to confirm which accessories are included with the configuration you are buying.
QMK customization through Keychron Launcher
The keyboard uses QMK firmware, and Keychron directs users to its web-based Keychron Launcher to remap keys, create macros and shortcuts, and adjust lighting. The setup instructions call for the latest Chrome, Edge, or Opera, a wired keyboard connection, and then opening Launcher to configure and apply changes. Keychron lists Windows, macOS, and Linux support, though browser compatibility and WebHID permissions can affect device detection.

The official product information emphasizes QMK and Launcher. It does not establish VIA support for this exact model, so do not buy it on the assumption that VIA will work. If Launcher does not detect the keyboard, first connect it by USB-C, try a supported up-to-date browser, and check the browser’s device permissions.

Aluminum construction, gasket mounting, and RGB
Keychron specifies a CNC-machined 6063 aluminum body, gasket mount, 3.0mm EVA acoustic foam, IXPE foam, PET film, and PCB-mounted screw-in stabilizers. A gasket mount is generally intended to give the typing assembly a more cushioned feel, but the result depends on the complete design and switches. Screw-in stabilizers are intended to secure larger keys; their actual sound and feel cannot be confirmed from specifications alone.

The board has south-facing LEDs, per-key RGB, and a Mix RGB lighting mode. South-facing LEDs are generally a practical match for Cherry-profile replacement keycaps and can help avoid interference with some replacement sets. Here, though, the supplied non-shine-through keycaps mean the lighting will not brightly illuminate their legends. Descriptions of the board’s sound or comfort as “thocky,” “soft,” or “comfortable” are subjective unless independently tested; Keychron’s feature list is not an independent sound or typing assessment.
Is the Wukong premium worth it?
The Wukong’s case, wireless modes, hot-swap sockets, QMK customization, and 75% layout make it usable as a general gaming and typing keyboard. Its main differentiator, however, is the licensed design: themed PBT caps across the range and the brass keycap and resin gourd knob on Deluxe. The price is therefore easiest to justify if those details are part of what you want to own and use.
If you want a conventional Keychron 75% board without the game styling, the company’s lineup offers less expensive comparisons. Its collection showed the Q1 Max from $178.49, aimed at shoppers after a more conventional premium wireless board, and the K2 HE from $129.99, which uses magnetic switches rather than the Wukong’s conventional TTC mechanical switches. For a more value-focused option, Keychron listed the V1 8K at $74.99 and V1 Ultra 8K at $114.99 during the same research pass. These are not like-for-like collectible designs, and the prices are dated vendor listings, not guaranteed current offers.

Consider the Wukong if you are a *Black Myth: Wukong* fan who wants the artwork on a capable, programmable wireless board and values the Deluxe accessories. Look elsewhere if you prioritize price, a number pad, backlit legends, or independently verified latency, sound, and typing results. The listed $259.99 configuration is a substantial premium over Keychron’s standard 75% options, so the thematic hardware—not an assumed performance advantage—is the deciding factor.
