Link Twitch to the EA Account you use to play the relevant game—not simply any EA Account you can access. Rewards delivered to the wrong EA Account cannot be transferred.
The current process is: sign in to EA, open Connected Accounts, choose Twitch, continue to Twitch, authorize the connection, and verify the Twitch username. You can also start from EA’s direct linking page at ea.com/twitchlinking.
Before linking EA and Twitch
You need an EA Account, a Twitch account, access to both accounts, and the game or platform account connected to the EA Account you intend to use. Be ready to complete EA identity verification or Login Verification if prompted; EA’s official linking video shows identity verification as part of the current flow.
Check the EA email or account identity and the Twitch username before authorizing. Some underage EA Accounts cannot connect to certain streaming or social accounts.

How to link your EA Account to Twitch
- Open EA Account settings and sign in to the EA Account used for your game progress.
- Open Connected Accounts.
- Find Twitch and select it.
- Select Continue.
- Sign in to the intended Twitch account when asked.
- Review and approve EA’s authorization request.
- Return to EA Account settings and confirm that Twitch is listed as connected.
EA also provides the direct route ea.com/twitchlinking. Starting from EA is generally the clearest option, although EA says linking can also be initiated from Twitch. Twitch’s guidance generally recommends managing connections to third-party services through the developer’s own website or settings.
How to verify the connection
Check both services rather than relying only on the final redirect:

- EA: EA Account settings → Connected Accounts → Twitch. Confirm that the connection is present.
- Twitch: Open Twitch account settings and review authorized or connected applications. Look for Electronic Arts and confirm the username is the one you intended. Twitch explains how to review and revoke third-party access in its account-settings guidance.
This username check is important if several Twitch accounts have been used in the same browser.
How to receive and claim EA Twitch Drops
Linking the accounts does not automatically grant every reward shown on Twitch. The stream must be part of an eligible campaign, you must meet that campaign’s requirements, and the reward may require a manual claim.

- Sign in to Twitch with the linked account.
- Watch an eligible EA stream with Drops enabled for the required period or requirement.
- Open your Twitch profile menu and select Drops & Rewards.
- Check your progress.
- Select Claim when the reward becomes available.
- Launch the game using the same EA Account and look for the item.
Campaign rules vary by game, promotion, region, platform, and reward. Some EA promotions may enter qualifying viewers into a drawing rather than guarantee that every viewer receives an item. Check the individual campaign announcement for its exact eligibility rules.
How long do rewards take to appear?
EA says some claimed rewards may take up to 24 hours to appear in-game. That is a possible delivery delay, not a guarantee that every reward will arrive within 24 hours.

What to do if a Twitch Drop is missing
Work through these checks in order:
- Confirm that Twitch is connected to the EA Account used to play the game.
- Confirm that you selected Claim in Twitch’s Drops & Rewards area.
- Check that the Twitch username and EA Account are both the intended accounts.
- Confirm that the stream and campaign were eligible and that you met every requirement.
- Make sure the game is signed in to the same EA Account that received the Drop.
- Restart the game and your gaming platform.
- Allow the applicable 24-hour delivery window to pass.
- If the reward is still missing, use EA’s missing-content support route.
A reward earned or delivered on the wrong EA Account cannot be transferred. Content can also be unavailable if the campaign was limited to a particular game, platform, region, or promotion.

This usually means Twitch is connected to a different EA Account, the browser is signed in to the wrong Twitch account, a previous authorization remains active, or you are trying to switch accounts before EA allows the change.

- Sign out of both EA and Twitch.
- Open the intended EA Account’s Connected Accounts page and check the connection shown there.
- On Twitch, review authorized applications and disconnect Electronic Arts if the old authorization remains.
- Use a private or incognito browser window if cached credentials keep returning the wrong account. Also check password-manager autofill.
- Sign in again to the intended accounts and retry from EA or ea.com/twitchlinking.
Unlinking from both sides can help with a stuck authorization, but it is a practical recovery step rather than a guaranteed fix. If the link remains stuck, contact EA support. Twitch’s guidance generally directs third-party connection problems to the service being connected—in this case, EA.
Can you unlink and switch the Twitch account?
EA says a Twitch account can be unlinked and associated with a different EA Account, but switching may not be available immediately. Future rewards go to the EA Account linked when the Drop is earned and claimed.
Do not unlink the account merely to refresh it unless necessary. Switching accounts can create additional delays or restrictions. EA’s documented 12-month relinking restriction applies specifically to switching Steam accounts; it should not be presented as a universal Twitch rule.

To revoke Twitch’s side of the authorization later, open Twitch account settings, review authorized applications, and remove Electronic Arts. Removing authorization does not move rewards already delivered to another EA Account.
Why linking may succeed but Drops still do not track
- The wrong Twitch account was authorized.
- The game is using a different EA Account.
- The stream is not actually Drop-enabled.
- The campaign requires more viewing time or another condition.
- The reward was earned but not manually claimed.
- The promotion is chance-based rather than guaranteed.
- The reward is still within EA’s stated delivery window.
- The campaign has game-, region-, platform-, or promotion-specific restrictions.
