Krayzor is an unusual Kickstarter gaming laptop built around two displays, a mechanical RGB keyboard and a removable Nvidia RTX 4060 MXM graphics module. Its September 2025 campaign price started at about HK$6,632 (roughly US$851), but that barebones figure excluded memory, storage and an operating system. The concept is intriguing; it is not yet the low-risk bargain the headline price suggests.
What Krayzor is selling
The Krayzor is a conventional clamshell notebook with a 16-inch main screen and a shallow, ultrawide touchscreen mounted above the keyboard. It is closer in concept to Asus’ ROG Zephyrus Duo line than to a laptop that simply supports an external monitor. A full-width mechanical keyboard, three physical control dials and a removable MXM graphics card make it unusual even among dual-screen machines.
The company was presented in coverage as Hong Kong-based and was seeking backers on Kickstarter in September 2025. Campaign media appeared to show working prototypes, but promotional footage is not the same as independent testing or proof of large-scale manufacturing.

As of August 18, 2026, the available reporting confirms the campaign and its promised December 2025 shipping target, but does not independently establish broad retail availability, completed fulfillment, long-term reliability or a mature support network.

The reports do not fully establish port speeds, DisplayPort or charging support over USB-C, HDMI version, Ethernet speed, or whether every listed port appears on every configuration. Brightness, color coverage, response time, adaptive sync, HDR and touch latency are also unreported.
Is the second screen useful?
There are legitimate uses. You could keep Discord, Twitch chat, a game guide, music controls, streaming tools, a development console or hardware-monitoring graphs on the 12.3-inch panel while the main display runs a game. Video editors might use it for a timeline, and streamers could dedicate it to control software.
The limitations are just as important:
- The panel sits above the keyboard rather than rising on a hinge, so its viewing angle can be awkward.
- Touch controls require reaching over the keyboard.
- Games and applications may not automatically make good use of the unusual 1920×720 resolution.
- The second panel consumes internal space and contributes to the machine’s exceptional thickness.
- A conventional portable monitor may provide a larger, more comfortable second workspace.
In other words, the second display is a useful multitasking feature and a novelty—not automatically a better gaming experience.
What the mechanical keyboard adds—and what it does not prove
A mechanical laptop keyboard can provide a more distinct desktop-style key feel, RGB lighting and potentially easier replacement than a sealed membrane assembly. Krayzor’s campaign materials also show three physical dials for functions such as brightness and volume, including separate display controls.

Mechanical switches need vertical room, helping explain the 48 mm chassis. They can also be louder and less comfortable than low-profile laptop keys. Coverage variously calls the switches linear, replaceable or hot-swappable; unless Krayzor publishes detailed service documentation, that should be treated as a campaign claim. “Replaceable keys” might mean keycaps, switches or an entire keyboard module—it does not automatically mean the whole keyboard is repairable. Switch type, actuation force, rollover, replacement-part availability and durability remain unanswered.
Is the RTX 4060 really upgradeable?
It is upgradeable in principle, not guaranteed to be future-proof. MXM is a removable mobile-GPU format, so Krayzor’s RTX 4060 is less permanently fixed than a soldered laptop GPU. But removing one module and installing another requires much more than a matching connector.
- The replacement must physically fit the chassis and heatsink.
- The cooling system and 220 W adapter must handle its heat and power demands.
- BIOS and firmware support may be required.
- Display routing and Nvidia driver compatibility can matter.
- Compatible newer MXM cards are uncommon and may be expensive.
No supported upgrade list or roadmap was established in the available reporting. A future card could be technically installable yet unavailable, unsupported or poor value. Treat the feature as module-level replaceability, not as an assurance that you can follow desktop GPU generations.

Performance reality
The Core i9-12900H is a 12th-generation mobile processor, and the RTX 4060 Laptop GPU is a mainstream—not flagship—graphics part. The combination should be capable of current PC gaming, but driving 2560×1600 at high settings and high frame rates in demanding releases may require upscaling or reduced settings. The second display adds workspace, not rendering power.

No independent game benchmarks, sustained power measurements, thermal results, fan-noise tests, battery tests or display-quality measurements were identified in the cited coverage. TechSpot specifically cautioned that an RTX 4060 can struggle with demanding games at high settings. Do not treat campaign specifications as measured performance.
What the campaign price really covered
Reported September 2025 early-backer figures were approximately:
- US$851: barebones laptop, excluding RAM, SSD and operating system.
- About US$960: with 16 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD.
- About US$1,110: with 32 GB of RAM and a 2 TB SSD.
These were campaign prices, not verified August 2026 retail offers. Add possible Windows licensing, shipping, destination taxes or import charges, and the cost of any replacement parts. A future MXM GPU, if one is ever supported, could erase the initial price advantage.

- Krayzor was not an established mainstream laptop brand in the cited reports.
- Kickstarter delivery dates are estimates, not retail guarantees. Notebookcheck warned that an unfamiliar maker could deliver late, fail to deliver or ship a product different from the advertised design.
- Independent reviews were unavailable in the reporting used here.
- Cross-border warranty service, batteries, displays, keyboard assemblies and MXM cards may be difficult to obtain.
- Coverage mentioned possible community-spam activity around the project; that is a reported warning sign, not proof of misconduct.
- “Taxes and fees included” should be checked against the campaign terms and your destination.
A successful campaign does not by itself demonstrate normal retail support, regulatory readiness or a dependable parts pipeline.

How it compares with alternatives
Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo
This is the closest established-brand comparison: a dual-screen gaming laptop with a more mature retail, warranty and support ecosystem. Asus generally asks a premium, while Krayzor’s attractions are its low campaign price and MXM concept. Compare the exact model year for screen ergonomics, CPU/GPU generation, weight and pricing.
Asus Zenbook Duo
The Zenbook Duo configuration discussed by Windows Central uses two larger displays and targets productivity, but lacks a discrete GPU. It is a better fit for users who want two full-size workspaces, not a direct substitute for demanding gaming.
Framework Laptop 16
Framework is the more relevant comparison for repairability. Its documented modules, parts marketplace and service information are not equivalent to Krayzor’s claim that one MXM card can be removed. Compare actual module availability, documentation, warranty and upgrade history rather than assuming both systems are equally modular.
Regular gaming laptop plus a portable monitor
This is the practical option for many buyers. You get more choice of current processors and GPUs, established retailers and easier resale, while a USB-C monitor supplies a second screen. The setup is less integrated, but can be lighter, more ergonomic and easier to replace.

Who should consider Krayzor?
It may suit a technically confident enthusiast who specifically wants a built-in second display and mechanical keys, is comfortable installing RAM and storage, and views the purchase as an experiment. That buyer must accept uncertain delivery, warranty and GPU-upgrade prospects.
Most people should wait for verified deliveries and independent reviews—or choose an established laptop instead. Avoid it if you need dependable support, travel frequently, require quiet or thin hardware, expect modern flagship performance, or cannot tolerate uncertain replacement parts.
Verdict
Krayzor is an intriguing hardware experiment, not an obvious bargain. Its second display and mechanical keyboard are genuine differentiators, and an MXM card is more replaceable than a soldered GPU. But the older core hardware, enormous chassis, uncertain upgrade ecosystem, incomplete testing and crowdfunding risk make it a poor choice for anyone who needs a dependable everyday computer. Enthusiasts may find the risk worthwhile; mainstream buyers should wait for independently verified shipments and reviews.
