The Infinix GT 30 Pro is more than a mid-range phone dressed for gaming: it pairs built-in side triggers with a 144Hz 1.5K AMOLED screen, a Dimensity 8350 Ultimate chip, and support for an optional active cooler. That makes it a credible gaming-focused buy—especially for shooters and MOBAs—but not a universal 120fps machine or a premium gaming flagship. Game support, regional pricing and accessories matter, while its cameras and software-update commitment are less compelling.
What Infinix unveiled—and when
Infinix announced the GT 30 Pro on May 21, 2025, positioning it as the third-generation GT-series phone and promoting an “All-Day Full FPS System.” In practice, it is best understood as a performance-oriented mid-range phone with gaming-specific hardware, not as a direct substitute for higher-end RedMagic or ASUS ROG devices. Infinix’s launch announcement sets out the hardware and marketing claims; independent testing provides a more grounded picture of how it behaves.
Configurations vary by market. The announced range includes 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB versions, with 12GB/512GB available in some regions. Colors include Shadow Ash, Blade White and Dark Flare, the RGB-focused option. India’s storefront uses the name “GT 30 Pro 5G+.” Do not assume every color, memory tier, battery size or accessory is sold in every country.

Price and availability depend on your market
For India, Android Central reported launch prices of ₹24,999 for 8GB/256GB and ₹26,999 for 12GB/256GB. The Infinix India product page later showed listed configurations at ₹29,999 sale pricing against ₹31,999 regular pricing, with some variants sold out in the storefront snapshot. These are different price moments, not a single current or universal price. Check the local official listing for availability and the variant you want before comparing value.

The available sources do not establish an official US retail price or carrier listing. Indian rupee pricing should not be converted into a US buying recommendation: warranty, taxes, compatibility and availability all depend on where the phone is sold.
The gaming hardware: fast screen, capable chip, selective frame rates
The GT 30 Pro combines a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate platform—built on a 4nm process, with a Mali-G615 GPU listed by Infinix—with a 6.78-inch LTPS AMOLED display. The panel’s resolution is 2720 × 1224, or 1.5K, and its maximum refresh rate is 144Hz. Infinix also lists up to 2160Hz touch sampling, HDR support, 10-bit color and a peak brightness claim of up to 4500 nits. “Ultimate” is the chipset’s positioning label, not proof that this phone outperforms every other device using a Dimensity 8350.
Three numbers that are easy to conflate describe different things:

Infinix has advertised 120fps certification for selected titles, including PUBG Mobile and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. Actual options depend on each game’s support and settings; a high-refresh panel cannot override a title’s frame-rate cap. Android Central found the 144Hz mode available in selected situations and reported strong play in most games, while noting that particularly demanding titles may need lower settings. GT Triggers: useful controls, not a physical controller
The GT 30 Pro’s two integrated side controls can be mapped to actions in games and used for shortcuts such as opening the camera or apps. In a shooter with customizable controls, for example, a player might map one trigger to aiming and the other to firing, leaving both thumbs available for movement and camera control. In a MOBA, a trigger could be assigned to an ability if the game’s control layout allows a useful mapping.
There is a terminology mismatch worth knowing: Infinix describes the GT Triggers as capacitive shoulder buttons, while Android Central calls them ultrasonic triggers. The safe practical description is built-in side controls, not conventional mechanical buttons. They do not provide the click and travel of a physical controller or a dedicated gaming phone’s mechanical controls.
Their usefulness depends on the game. A title needs to expose compatible on-screen controls, and some competitive games may restrict or change how inputs work. The mapping can feel natural in landscape but awkward in portrait, and a tight grip may lead to accidental presses. Check support for your actual games; after an update, profile change or reset, you may also need to review or recreate a mapping. The triggers are a real convenience when they fit a player’s layout, not a universal performance advantage.

RGB LEDs: feedback and style, not extra frame rate
Infinix calls the rear lighting “Mechanical Light Waves” or “Mecha Lights,” depending on the regional page. The company says the system offers more than 20 effects across 14 scenarios, including calls, notifications, charging, music and game events. Android Central identified four RGB lighting zones beneath the phone’s laser-etched, gaming-style rear design. The effects can make notifications more visible and add game-related feedback, but the lights do not improve frame rate, touch response or cooling.

The RGB treatment is most prominent on Dark Flare; do not assume the same lighting appearance or behavior across all colorways. If a bold gaming aesthetic is a plus, the lights are part of the appeal. If you need an understated phone, they may be a drawback—and their utility is secondary to the controls and display.
Cooling, accessories and long sessions
The phone has a 3D Vapor Cloud Chamber Cooling system, while the optional Gaming Master Edition setup adds a MagCase and MagCharge Cooler. Infinix describes using the cooling system with magnetic accessories as “Draco Mode.” The company claims the cooler is 30% more efficient, and that the cooling system can improve heat dissipation by 20% and reduce core temperature by 3°C. Those are manufacturer claims, not independent measurements.
Android Central’s reviewer found that the phone handled extended gaming well and did not throttle easily during testing. That is encouraging, but results can change with the game, graphics settings, room temperature, case, charging and session length. An active cooler may make sense for frequent long sessions in demanding games; it is a less compelling extra for casual play. The MagCase and cooler may be optional or region-specific, so check what is included before paying for a bundle or assuming the phone has active cooling out of the box.
Bypass Charging 2.0 is intended to route power toward the motherboard rather than continually charging the battery during supported gaming scenarios. It can help limit battery stress and heat while playing plugged in, but it does not make the phone heat-free or remove the effects of a demanding workload.

Battery and charging
The India-listed version has a 5,500mAh battery, but Infinix’s launch material says capacity is 5,200mAh in some regions. Verify the local specification rather than treating 5,500mAh as global. Headline charging specifications are 45W wired, 30W wireless and 10W reverse wired charging; wireless charging availability and the required case or accessory setup may vary by market.
In Android Central’s review, the 5,500mAh version lasted a full day under heavy use, and a full wired charge took a little over an hour. Those observations apply to that reviewer’s test, not every usage pattern. High brightness, high refresh rate, 5G and maximum-performance settings can drain the battery faster than mixed everyday use. Charging time and speed also depend on the charger, cable, temperature and mode in use.
Everyday use: cameras, build and protection
The rear cameras are a 108MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide; the front camera is 13MP according to Infinix’s launch announcement. Android Central found the main camera good in daylight and respectable in difficult lighting for the price, but described the ultrawide as average. If photography—especially versatile camera coverage—is a priority, the GT 30 Pro is not the obvious choice over stronger camera-focused phones.
The phone launched with Android 15 and XOS 15, alongside the XArena gaming space, XBOOST AI performance tools and features such as voice changing and visual enhancement. Android Central found XOS generally usable but buggy at times. Infinix’s stated support promise is two Android updates and three years of security patches. Those are distinct commitments: the first concerns Android version upgrades, while the second concerns security updates. A reviewer criticized the length of software support relative to alternatives, so buyers who keep phones for many years should weigh the stated term carefully.
The construction uses a polycarbonate back and mid-frame rather than a premium-feeling metal or glass build. The camera bump can make the phone wobble on a table; a bundled case can help stabilize it, though box contents may vary. The India product page lists IP64 protection: dust-resistant and protected against water splashes, but not safe for immersion. Android Central also found the in-display fingerprint reader positioned somewhat low on the screen.
Who should consider the GT 30 Pro?
- Consider it if you play shooters or MOBAs with customizable layouts and want built-in controls without carrying a clip-on controller.
- Consider it if a smooth 1.5K screen, strong mid-range gaming performance, large battery and bypass charging matter more than a class-leading camera.
- Check the local deal if you want the cooling accessories: their value depends on how often you play demanding games for long sessions and whether the kit is officially available and included or sold separately.
- Look elsewhere if you want clicky mechanical shoulder buttons, longer software support, top-tier cameras, or a less conspicuous design.
- Compare carefully with POCO/Xiaomi performance phones if raw speed per unit of local currency matters more than integrated triggers. RedMagic and ASUS ROG offer more gaming-focused ecosystems in generally higher price tiers, but current prices and regional availability should be checked before treating any model as a better deal.
Verdict
The GT 30 Pro is a genuine budget-leaning gaming phone in markets where its price is competitive: its triggers, 144Hz AMOLED screen, capable chipset and cooling options give it substance beyond gaming styling. Its best case is a player who will actually use supported trigger mappings and values sustained play over camera quality or long software support. If those controls are irrelevant, the RGB is only decoration, and the optional cooler is not automatically essential. Buy according to your local price, specific games and confirmed regional configuration—not the “full FPS” slogan alone.
