Corsair unveiled the XENEON 34WQHD240-C QD-OLED at Computex 2024. It pairs a 34-inch, 3440×1440 ultrawide panel with a 240Hz refresh rate. One important correction to the original headline: Corsair advertises 0.03ms GtG, not 0.3ms. Independent testing has measured response behavior around 0.3ms, using a different measurement and reporting convention.
The monitor subsequently went on sale through Corsair and authorized resellers. Corsair’s U.S. product page lists it at $1,199.99, a regional price that may change. Its image quality and motion performance are strong; the harder question is whether the 240Hz ceiling and its connectivity justify the premium over other ultrawide OLEDs.
What Corsair announced at Computex
The XENEON 34WQHD240-C is a curved 21:9 QD-OLED gaming monitor aimed at players who want both ultrawide immersion and a higher refresh rate than earlier 34-inch OLED models. Contemporary coverage of the Computex 2024 unveiling appeared on June 4, 2024. Corsair later announced retail availability through its webstore and authorized resellers, so this is no longer merely a show-floor announcement.
The white exterior gives it a distinctive look, while the feature set also targets mixed gaming, multimedia and content-creation setups. The announcement is now two years old; the product’s current value depends on local availability and street price, not its original launch positioning alone.

Specifications and the listed U.S. price are on Corsair’s product page. Brightness figures need context: the stated 1,000-nit peak applies to a small 3% average-picture-level window, not sustained full-screen output. Corsair also lists 450 nits at 10% APL for SDR; independent review specifications cite 250 nits SDR, illustrating that brightness depends on measurement conditions.
What 240Hz means for ultrawide gaming
Earlier 34-inch OLED ultrawides commonly topped out around 165–175Hz. The Corsair’s 240Hz ceiling gives fast games room to display more frames each second and can make motion look smoother when the PC actually renders at high frame rates. That is most relevant in competitive shooters and other less demanding games where a sufficiently powerful system can exceed 175fps at 3440×1440.

A 240Hz monitor does not create 240 frames per second. At this resolution, reaching that rate can require a powerful GPU, lower graphics settings or a comparatively undemanding game. For players mostly between 60 and 120fps, the higher maximum refresh rate does not automatically produce a visible advantage over a 165Hz or 175Hz OLED running at the same frame rate. TechSpot’s independent review likewise identifies the benefit above roughly 175Hz as the key distinction.
Why 0.03ms and 0.3ms both appear
Corsair’s advertised specification is 0.03ms GtG. TechSpot measured response behavior around 0.3ms and reported it as broadly consistent at 240Hz, 120Hz and 60Hz. Those figures should not be treated as interchangeable measurements: manufacturer specifications and independent tests can use different methods and conventions. The article’s original 0.3ms phrasing is therefore not the official advertised claim.
Neither number alone tells you everything about gaming performance. Response-time claims do not replace measurements of input lag, motion clarity at a particular refresh rate, variable-refresh behavior or HDR performance. QD-OLED’s self-emissive pixels deliver very deep blacks and rapid pixel transitions, while quantum dots support a wide color gamut; the 21:9 format adds horizontal space in games and compatible media.

Design, connections and everyday use
The fixed 1800R curve is intended to bring the edges of the wide panel into a more natural viewing arc. The stand offers height, tilt and swivel adjustment; Corsair’s current specifications list 89mm of height adjustment. The monitor supports standard 100×100mm VESA mounting. Corsair lists a product weight of 15.03kg, so check a monitor arm’s weight rating before mounting it. There are no built-in speakers, according to Tom’s Hardware, so plan on headphones or external audio.
The USB-C connection supports DisplayPort Alt Mode and up to 65W power delivery, which can simplify a laptop setup, but it may not supply enough power for every laptop under every workload. A USB-C upstream connection, four USB-A ports and KVM functionality can help share peripherals between systems. Two HDMI 2.1 inputs and DisplayPort 1.4 cover desktop and console connections. Check the source device and cable setup for the resolution and refresh rate you intend to use.
OLED care and practical limitations
Corsair lists image-retention refresh after eight hours of use, an Orbit feature that shifts the image by one pixel every three minutes, and Screen Life Management options. Corsair also advertises three-year zero-burn-in coverage. These are protections and warranty terms, not evidence that image retention or burn-in is impossible. Static taskbars, application panels and other fixed desktop elements remain worth considering, particularly if the display will spend most of its time on office work.

For long work sessions, sensible precautions include enabling a screen-off timer, avoiding unnecessarily high fixed brightness, allowing refresh routines to finish and hiding a static taskbar when practical. The 34-inch panel’s subpixel structure may also make small text less crisp than on a conventional LCD or a display with a different OLED pixel layout. TFTCentral noted that this panel did not use the updated pixel structure found in some newer QD-OLED sizes, so text-heavy users should weigh that trade-off.
QD-OLED HDR can deliver dramatic contrast, but the advertised 1,000-nit figure is for small highlights. It should not be read as a promise of 1,000 nits across a large or full-screen image.

What reviewers found
Tom’s Hardware praised the monitor’s image quality, contrast, saturated color, motion handling, input lag and premium build, while noting its high price and lack of speakers. TechSpot was more skeptical of its value at the roughly $1,200 launch price: the 240Hz refresh rate is the main differentiator, but is most useful above the frame rates many games and systems sustain, and does not remove familiar QD-OLED considerations such as brightness behavior and text clarity.

That is not a contradiction about whether the display is good. It is a distinction between its strong core performance and what buyers get for the premium. Earlier 165–175Hz OLED ultrawides may be better value if your games do not exceed their refresh ceiling. Other 240Hz 34-inch QD-OLED models identified by TFTCentral include the MSI MPG 341CQPX and Gigabyte AORUS MO34WQC2. Compare current price, warranty, ports, care controls and coating before choosing: those details vary by model, and past reviews do not establish today’s prices. TechSpot also pointed to the Alienware AW3423DWF as a lower-cost 34-inch QD-OLED option for many buyers, though its refresh ceiling is lower.
Who should consider it?
- Competitive and fast-action gamers: A good fit if your PC can produce frame rates above 175fps in the games you play and you specifically want a 34-inch ultrawide OLED.
- Immersion-first players: The OLED contrast, wide format and curve suit games and video that benefit from a broad field of view, even if you do not run at 240fps.
- Laptop-plus-desktop users: USB-C, KVM and the USB hub are useful, provided 65W is enough for the laptop and workload.
- Office-heavy users: Reconsider if the display will show static interfaces for many hours daily, or if crisp small text is the priority. An LCD ultrawide avoids OLED burn-in management and may offer stronger sustained full-screen brightness.
- Value-focused buyers: Compare it against less expensive 165–175Hz OLEDs and other 240Hz models. Its value improves substantially with a meaningful discount.
As of the Corsair U.S. page reviewed for this article, the listed price is $1,199.99. That is a U.S. listing, not a universal or guaranteed street price; check local retailers and current offers. At or near that amount, the monitor is difficult to recommend unless its white design, 240Hz ultrawide format, connectivity and warranty are specifically valuable to you. At a significant discount, it becomes easier to justify.
