You can download the original Cities: Skylines for Windows, macOS, and SteamOS + Linux from its official Steam listing. Epic Games Store also lists a Windows version. Before buying, compare your computer with the full platform-specific requirements on the store page; meeting the RAM or storage figure alone does not establish compatibility.
Where to download Cities: Skylines for PC
For Windows, macOS, or Linux, use the official Steam listing for Cities: Skylines. Steam lists the original game for Windows, macOS, and SteamOS + Linux, with separate requirements for each platform. Check the Steam listing for current availability and purchase details in your region.
Windows players can also check the Epic Games Store listing. The cited Epic listing provides Windows requirements; it does not establish macOS or Linux support there. Store prices and regional availability can change, so consult the storefront directly.
Can I download Cities: Skylines on Mac?
Steam lists a macOS version, but that does not mean every Mac is compatible. Paradox support says Intel integrated graphics are unsupported and warns that older MacBooks use this graphics type. Check your Mac’s graphics hardware against the game’s requirements rather than relying only on its model name or operating system. Paradox’s MacBook support page gives the graphics caution.

The available information here does not establish Apple Silicon compatibility or performance on a specific Mac; check the live store page and Paradox support if your hardware is uncertain.
Can I play Cities: Skylines on Linux?
Steam lists the game under SteamOS + Linux. Its published minimum OS is Ubuntu 12.04 (64-bit), and its recommended OS is Ubuntu 14.10 (64-bit). These are the listing’s stated entries, not assurances that every Linux distribution, graphics driver, or configuration will work. Check all the listed CPU, graphics, memory, OS, network, and storage requirements before installing.
