Try this first: join a Roblox experience, press Esc, open Settings, set Fullscreen to On, and return to the game. If you prefer a shortcut, click inside the game and press F11; on many laptops, use Fn + F11 instead. Roblox labels and shortcut behavior can change between client updates, so the in-game setting is the most dependable route.

The fastest way to make Roblox fullscreen
- Launch Roblox and join any experience.
- Press Esc, or click the Roblox menu button in the upper-left corner.
- Open the Settings tab.
- Find Fullscreen and change it to On.
- Close the menu and return to the game.
The window frame and, normally, the taskbar should no longer occupy the game area. Menu labels can move slightly between Roblox releases. If you see a graphics or display section instead of a separate Fullscreen row, look there for the display-mode control. This menu path is described in Microsoft Q&A troubleshooting reports, not in a currently verified official Roblox shortcut reference (Microsoft Q&A).
Use F11 as the quick shortcut
With Roblox focused, click once inside the game and press F11. Wait briefly for the title bar and frame to disappear. Press F11 again to return to windowed mode if your client responds to the shortcut. F11 is a commonly reported Roblox control, not a Windows-wide guarantee; keyboard firmware, overlays, remote sessions and different Roblox builds can intercept it (Microsoft Q&A).
If F11 does not work on a laptop
Try Fn + F11
Some laptop and compact keyboards use the top row for volume, brightness or media controls. Hold Fn, press F11, then release both keys. If this works, the keyboard was sending its hardware action instead of the standard F11 key.

Check Fn Lock
Many keyboards provide a function-lock mode. Depending on the manufacturer, it may be toggled with Fn + Esc, a dedicated Fn Lock key, or a key marked with a padlock or “Fn” symbol. Some systems expose the choice in BIOS or a manufacturer utility. There is no universal combination across Windows 11 hardware (Microsoft Q&A; Microsoft Q&A).
How to exit Roblox fullscreen
- Press F11 again, or Fn + F11 on a laptop.
- Press Esc, open Settings, and set Fullscreen to Off.
- If the game is difficult to reach, press Alt + Tab to switch applications, return to Roblox, and change the setting.
Alt + Enter is worth trying only as an optional compatibility experiment. Community answers mention it, but it is not a guaranteed Roblox control (Microsoft Q&A).

Roblox fullscreen is not Windows Magnifier fullscreen
Roblox fullscreen expands the game. Windows Magnifier has a separate full-screen view: Ctrl + Alt + F. That shortcut magnifies the desktop and is unrelated to Roblox display mode. If the entire Windows desktop suddenly looks enlarged, press Windows + Esc to close Magnifier, then use Roblox’s own Settings control (Microsoft Support).

When fullscreen will not activate
Work through these steps in order, starting with the least disruptive:

- Restore focus: click inside the game, press Esc, close the Roblox menu, and try F11 again. An overlay, browser, chat panel or recorder may have captured the keystroke.
- Use the menu: turn Settings > Fullscreen on instead of relying on a shortcut.
- Try alternate key input: use Fn + F11, toggle Fn Lock, or test F11 in another application to see whether Windows receives it.
- Restart Roblox: close the client completely, relaunch it, rejoin the experience and repeat the menu method.
- Check the installation source: Windows may have a web-launched Roblox client or a Microsoft Store installation. Their behavior can differ on a particular machine. Update through the normal store or Roblox channel; if the problem persists, remove and reinstall from an official source. One Microsoft Q&A user reported that changing installation source fixed fullscreen, but that is anecdotal, not a universal recommendation (Microsoft Q&A).
- Repair only visual problems: if the game is cropped, oversized or zoomed rather than simply windowed, press Windows + I and open System > Display. Check Scale and Display resolution; prefer values marked Recommended. Changing scaling is not a first-line fullscreen fix and affects other applications (Microsoft Q&A).
Diagnose a persistent title bar or taskbar

If the taskbar remains after Roblox restarts, open Task Manager with Ctrl + Shift + Esc, select Windows Explorer, and choose Restart. This is a Windows recovery step, not a Roblox command (Microsoft Q&A).
When the cursor escapes the Roblox window
Cursor capture is separate from display mode. Press Esc and return to the experience, then re-enable Fullscreen. If the pointer still escapes, compare the web-installed and Microsoft Store clients, update Roblox and your graphics driver through official channels, and check Windows scale and resolution if the clickable area appears offset. Avoid random compatibility changes; record any original setting before altering it. Reports associate this symptom with client installation, scaling and fullscreen state, but no single fix works for every setup (Microsoft Q&A).
Which method should you use?

For most Windows 11 players, the practical order is Settings > Fullscreen, then F11, then Fn + F11. Restart Roblox before changing Windows display settings or reinstalling the client.
