There is no officially listed native Windows, Steam, or Epic Games Store version of MLB The Show 24 as of August 16, 2026. You can play it on a PC by streaming the Xbox version through Xbox Cloud Gaming, or by using Remote Play from a PlayStation or Xbox console you own. Streaming is not the same as installing a PC copy.
Is MLB The Show 24 available as a PC game?
No native PC edition is officially listed as of August 16, 2026. San Diego Studio’s official manuals list PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. The Xbox listing identifies Xbox console and cloud play, not a Windows installation. There is no officially listed Steam or Epic Games Store version either.
That distinction matters if you own the Xbox edition: the listing does not identify it as an Xbox Play Anywhere title or offer a Windows executable. The Xbox PC app’s installable games and Xbox Cloud Gaming are separate services. A PC app requirement does not mean this particular game has a PC build.

Play on PC with Xbox Cloud Gaming
Xbox Cloud Gaming is the most direct official route if you do not own a console. It streams the Xbox game from Microsoft’s servers; it does not download the game to your computer. The current game listing names Xbox Game Pass Essential, Premium, or Ultimate for cloud play and separately says the game purchase is required. In other words, plan on needing both an Xbox digital license for MLB The Show 24 and an eligible subscription. Check the listing and your regional catalog before paying, since availability and plan terms can change.

Cloud gaming requires a supported device and region, a stable, low-latency internet connection, and a controller. The game is controller-first; do not assume full keyboard-and-mouse support. Latency can make PCI batting, pitching timing, and competitive online play feel less precise than playing locally. Xbox explains its current PC and cloud options at Xbox on PC and Xbox Game Pass.
Set up cloud play on a Windows PC
- Buy the Xbox version of MLB The Show 24 using the Microsoft account you intend to use for cloud play.
- Subscribe to a qualifying plan. The game listing currently names Essential, Premium, and Ultimate; verify the plan’s cloud eligibility in your region.
- Open the Xbox app or a supported browser on your PC. The Xbox PC app requires Windows 10/11 version 22H2 or later, but using the browser cloud route avoids treating the game as a local PC install.
- Sign in with the Microsoft account that owns the game and has the subscription.
- Open Xbox Cloud Gaming in the app or go to xbox.com/play, then search for MLB The Show 24.
- Connect an Xbox-compatible controller, select the cloud-play option, and follow the on-screen controls once the session starts.
If the game does not appear or has no Play button
- Check that the signed-in Microsoft account owns the Xbox game; Game Pass alone is not enough according to the current listing.
- Confirm the subscription is active and the plan is currently eligible for cloud play.
- Search the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S listings, then check the cloud catalog for your region.
- Sign out and back in. If regional detection seems wrong, disable a VPN or proxy and try again.
- Update the Xbox app or browser, and try xbox.com/play if the app does not show cloud play.
- Pair the controller before starting. If the title has left the catalog or its eligibility has changed, the store and cloud catalog will reflect that.
Use PlayStation Remote Play from a PS4 or PS5
If you own a PS4 or PS5 with access to MLB The Show 24, Sony’s PS Remote Play app can stream the console to a Windows PC or Mac over a high-speed network. The game runs on your PlayStation, not on the computer. Sony’s Remote Play setup and requirements specify Windows 10 64-bit or Windows 11, a 7th-generation Intel Core processor or later, at least 100 MB of storage and 2 GB of RAM, a display of 1024×768 or higher, a sound card, and a USB port.

- Install MLB The Show 24 on your PS4 or PS5, or confirm it is otherwise available to play on that console.
- Enable Remote Play in the console settings, following Sony’s current instructions.
- Install the official PS Remote Play app on the PC or Mac and sign in with the PlayStation Network account associated with the console.
- Connect a compatible controller to the computer, launch Remote Play, and select the console.
- Start the game from the streamed console interface.
This method requires the PlayStation console to be configured and connected, and performance depends on both the console’s network connection and the computer’s connection. It is not cloud gaming, a native PC installation, or a way to play offline on the computer.
Use Xbox Remote Play from an Xbox console
Xbox owners can stream the game from their own Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S instead of using Microsoft’s cloud servers. Install the game on the console, enable its remote features, then use Microsoft’s currently supported Xbox Remote Play route on a compatible device and sign in with the same Microsoft account. Connect a controller and launch the game through the streamed console interface. Because Microsoft’s interfaces and device support can change, use its current Xbox PC and cloud information rather than relying on an old menu path.

Remote Play requires your console to be available, powered or configured for remote access, and online. It can be convenient when you already own the hardware, but it still streams and can add input delay. Xbox Cloud Gaming, by contrast, streams from Microsoft’s servers and does not require your own console.
Can you play on Steam Deck?
There is no native Steam or SteamOS installation of MLB The Show 24. A Steam Deck can be used as a streaming client through Xbox Cloud Gaming or console Remote Play, but it is not a supported native game platform. Microsoft provides an Edge and Xbox Cloud Gaming guide for Steam Deck; it notes that the Edge Flatpak route is community-maintained and Microsoft does not officially support Edge on SteamOS. Controls may need layout adjustments, and cloud latency can affect batting. Installing Windows on a Deck does not create a PC edition; it only gives you another system from which to stream.

What will not provide a local PC copy?
- Steam Remote Play alone: Steam Remote Play streams a game from a host gaming PC. It is not a way to stream this title from Steam because the game is not officially listed as a Steam PC game. See Steam Remote Play.
- PC Game Pass or the Xbox PC app: Neither should be treated as a downloadable copy of this title; the Xbox listing identifies console and cloud play, not a Windows build.
- Streaming services offline: Cloud Gaming and Remote Play need an active connection for the stream.
- Unofficial ports, cracked downloads, or console emulation: These are not official PC support and can bring copyright, account-security, malware, online-service, and reliability risks. They are not a dependable alternative.
Which way should you choose?

The Xbox U.S. store page showed price signals of $59.99+ for the Xbox One Standard Edition, $69.99+ for the Xbox Series X|S Standard Edition, and $99.99+ for Digital Deluxe when checked on August 16, 2026. These are not permanent or global prices: check your regional store for the current edition, checkout total, and taxes before buying. The extra subscription cost also applies to the Xbox Cloud Gaming route.
Does progress carry between platforms?
Do not assume every mode or platform shares progress. Xbox’s March 2024 launch guidance discussed linking an MLB The Show account to retain Diamond Dynasty collection progress across platforms when players owned copies for each system. That launch-era statement is not a blanket guarantee for all modes, platforms, or current account policies; check the game’s current account-linking instructions before relying on cross-platform progress.
