The Battlefield 6 open beta has ended. It ran across two public weekends in August 2025, with a short early-access period beforehand. The public weekends were free to enter without a code; early access was limited to eligible Battlefield Labs participants and players who obtained a promotional code.
When did the Battlefield 6 open beta start?
EA announced the schedule on July 31, 2025. All times below are UTC; the first early-access time is also shown in Pacific Time as EA published it.

How did players get Battlefield 6 beta early access for free?
Early access lasted from August 7 until the first public weekend began on August 9, 2025. EA described two no-cost routes, both of which have expired:

- Battlefield Labs: People who had registered for Battlefield Labs before July 31, 2025 did not need a code. They were instructed to sign in using the same EA account they used for Labs.
- Twitch Drops code: EA’s August 4 instructions said viewers could link their EA and Twitch accounts, watch Battlefield 6 streams for 30 minutes on August 7 or 8, then redeem the unlocked early-access code on Battlefield’s code-redemption page. Codes were limited while supplies lasted.
EA’s initial announcement also referred to access through select creators’ July 31 reveal streams. These were time-limited promotional routes, not ongoing ways to claim beta access. EA’s schedule announcement · EA’s Twitch Drops instructions
Did the Battlefield 6 beta require a code?
No code was needed for either public beta weekend in August 2025; EA said the weekends were available to anyone. A code was one route to the earlier August 7–9 access period, while registered Battlefield Labs participants could enter without one.

What Twitch rewards were available during the beta?
EA’s August 4, 2025 Twitch Drops promotion tied four in-game rewards to viewing time across the beta weekends. Viewers had to claim completed Drops in Twitch Drops Inventory within 24 hours; EA said claimed rewards would be granted in-game at launch.

Which platforms supported the beta, and what did PC players need?
The beta was listed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam, the Epic Games Store, or the EA app. EA asked players to link their EA account to the account for their platform.
EA also stated that Secure Boot was required to play on PC. Its beta article included minimum and recommended PC requirements in an image; consult EA’s original announcement for those specifications rather than relying on an unsourced list.

Can you play Battlefield 6 now?
Yes. EA’s FAQ says Battlefield 6 released on October 10, 2025 and is available digitally and at retail for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC through Steam, the EA app, and the Epic Games Store. Buying the full game is separate from beta entry; a retail or digital copy is a post-beta option for anyone who still wants to play. EA’s Battlefield 6 FAQ
