Spoilers: This checklist reveals later-game Notorious Mark names, locations, and unlock conditions. Final Fantasy XVI has 32 hunts, found across Rosaria, Sanbreque, Dhalmekia, and Waloed. The Hunt Board becomes available in the Hideaway after the main story mission Release; later entries arrive as the story advances, and some require side quests. Locations and quest gates below follow published guide listings, with conflicting late-game entries called out.
When does the Hunt Board unlock?
The Hunt Board becomes active at the Hideaway after Release, identified by PowerPyx as Main Quest 31. Return to the Hideaway after completing that mission and speak with the board to see available notices. The board does not reveal every hunt at once: additional marks appear with story progress, and some are gated behind side quests or other conditions.
A target’s listed area is where guides report finding it once available. A missing board entry usually means its story or quest condition has not been met; check your current quest state and the board notice before searching the map.

The table follows PowerPyx’s numbered list, cross-checked against other published hunt guides. For several entries the sources give a broad area rather than an exact point, so use the named landmark and the board’s clue together.

Side quests and other conditions that can keep a mark off the board
Not every notice appears as soon as the board unlocks. These explicitly reported side-quest gates are the most useful to check when a named hunt is absent:
- Dozmare: Blacksmith’s Blues.
- Bomb King: Weird Science, following the Mid-related progression condition.
- Holy Trumpitour: For Great Justice II.
- Carrot: Please Sir, Can I Have Some Morbol.
- Gizamaluk: An Inconvenient Truth.
- Kuza Beast and Behemoth King: Nobody’s Tool is associated with their appearance in PowerPyx’s listing; the Kuza Beast is reported during the quest and the Behemoth King after it.
- Knight of the Splendent Heart and Prince of Death: late-game quest triggers conflict between published guides; see their entries in the location table and check the board against your quest state.
Other targets are added through story progress, and the exact timing is not stated consistently for every mark. If the target’s clue is available but the enemy is not at the reported landmark, finish the relevant active quest or advance the main story before treating the location as wrong.

Can you miss a hunt?
No. PowerPyx reports that all Notorious Marks remain available during post-story free roam, so you can return to the Hunt Board and finish outstanding entries after completing the main story. The same guide says clearing all Hunt Board quests unlocks the “Hunter, Hunted” and “Think, Mark” trophies.

If you want to solve a notice yourself, read the Hunt Board description first and use its named landmarks as search anchors. This guide provides locations for convenience, but the board’s hints let you look for the target without relying on a precise route. When an area is broad or guides disagree—as with the Velkroy Desert marks, Soul Stingers, and the two disputed late-game entries—treat the listed location as a search zone rather than a guaranteed exact spawn point.
